Ribbons!

It's time for another As You Like It Challenge.  This fortnight our challenge theme is to share you favorite.  Use some ribbon on your creation and tell us why it's your favorite was to use this glorious stuff.  I love ribbon, yes, I'm a collector! Honestly tho, I don't really use it a lot on my cards. When I do, I like using it to add a bit of interest to my plainer cards.

Here is my card, using a seam binding ribbon -

We would love for you to head back to the AYLI blog to link up your creation.  While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs and take a look at the gorgeous creations the DT made for you to see!  Maybe you'll be inspired to use ribbon in a different way!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week is going well!

Brenda

Sparkle and Ribbons

Our Sponsor is so perfect for this challenge -

Here's my take on the challenge using two things I dearly love, ribbon and sparkle -

The sparkle is very subtle in the form of Wink of Stella on the sweet flowers.  The ribbon is seam binding from SU! for just a little touch of texture.

Please come join us this week at the CRAFT Challenge blog.

Three's Company

Our challenge today is a fun one brought to you by Kate.  Three's company is how she puts it and what she wants is to see three of something on your creation.  I have had my image sitting on my table for the longest time, waiting patiently to be colored and put to use.  As you can see, there are three darling bunnies, but it could be 3 colors, 3 buttons, 3 clouds...you get the picture.

Here are my 3 bunnies which were kept otherwise clean and simple

I used distress oxides and a stamp from The Cat's Pajamas, Watercolor Basics set.  I should have only used 3 sequins, but I have this thing about using 5 sequins 👀.  The sweet bunny wobbles are from Stamping Bella.

I hope to see you over at Little Red Wagon this week.  Don't miss out on all the fun!

Aloha,
Brenda

Love You To The Stars And Back

Mandy has a very fun challenge for us this week at Little Red Wagon.  It's a perfect opportunity to use one of the many fab techniques to create you very own galaxy or night sky.  I would think stars and moons would be cool to use too.  I decided to use distress ink, water and embossing powder to create my sky.  I even managed to get it a little Northern Lights effect and added a few tiny PPP stars.

Here's my card using Mama Elephant's Bear Hugs -

I certainly hope you'll have time to play along with us at Little Red Wagon.  Seeing what the Girlfriends have created would at the very least be suggested.  You know their stuff is going to be worth taking a look at.

Happy Hump Day, thanks for stopping by!

#468 Playful Kitty

Happy Saturday!  If it's Saturday, that means we have a great new sketch at Sketch Saturday.  Gloria created this rather CAS and definitely fun design -

Our generous sponsor this week is -

Here's my take on the sketch using a darling freebie (yes, really, it's free, check it out) from our sponsor, Playful Kitty -

This is such a wonderful sketch and such a sweet digi.  I colored the kitties up with Copic markers to resemble by beloved, Shammy Cat, a lilac point siamese I dearly loved.  The papers are by Nitwit Collections and the double bow was tied using my Bow-It-All.

As always, I hope you will have time to join us this week.  You can go here for more details on the challenge.  Remember there is a prize up for grabs from Scrap N' Dipity.  I also want to remind you of the DT call and encourage you to give it a try.  This is a great, easy going team with fab sketches and wonderful sponsors.  Check here here for more information.

Lilikoi

It's time for another As You Like It Challenge.  This fortnight our challenge theme is to share you favorite.  Use your favorite fruit or let the color inspire your creation.  Don't forget to tell us why it's your favorite fruit.

This week our sponsor is:

You may be wondering, what in the world is lilikoi.  It is a wonderful fruit found here, in Hawaii, better know as passionfruit.  The blooms are beautifully unique...here's a picture of one we recently planted in the yard -

Our fruit is not ready yet, but here is a pic I Googled from My Lilikoi Kitchen -

I love the wonderful unique flavor of lilikoi.  Fresh squeezed lilikoi juice is so flavorful and refreshing.  I also love lilikoi butter which is absolutely delicious on hot pancakes.  It makes my mouth water to think of it.  Lilikoi is also used to flavor cheese cake, shave ice and lilikoi bars (like lemon bars) are so ono (Hawaiian word for delicious).

Here is my card inspired by the color of this magical fruit -

We would love for you to check out the AYLI blog and link up your creation.  While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs and take a look at the gorgeous creations the DT made for you to see!  Don't forget now, we want to know what your favorite fruit is and why it is your favorite.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week is going well!

Dogs or Cats at LRW

Jan is stepping in as our hostess this week.  The challenge is to use a cat or a dog on your card.  Sounds easy enough, right.  Wrong!  Do you know how many cute cat and dog stamps there are out there?  Do you know how tempted I was to buy a new set just because it had a darling puppy on it?  I was having such a tough time choosing from my stash that I guess I thought if I got this new one, the decision would be easy.  Well, I'm happy to say I am stayed true to the little red wagon challenge, no new cute puppy stamps for me.  I pulled this one from my little red wagon.

Here's my card featuring a sweet kitty by Pretty Pink Posh -

I was originally going to put a pup on this card too, but he wouldn't fit.  Since I colored this kitty like the last cat that owned my heart, she won out.  This card was a total CASE from Simon Says Stamp blog here.

I had to place my clouds a bit differently.  I have an issue with my blood that requires me to take a blood thinner.  This means when I cut myself, it takes hours to stop bleeding.  Well, you guessed it, my finger, though bandaged, was still oozing a bit but thankfully because of the cloud, if I hadn't spilled the beans, no one would have ever known, right 😉.

My goodness, I've been talkative today.  Without further delay, I want to send you to Little Red Wagon so you can catch what the girlfriends have created.  Hopefully you will have an easier time with this challenge than I did.  Can't wait to see what you link.

Thanks for stopping by!

Aloha,
Brenda

Welcome to the World

Today I have another card made with the fabulous June release by Frantic Stamper.  I had a ton of fun putting this one together.  It's time for true confessions.  Every time I make a shaker, I usually have to tear it apart adjust it at least once to get it to work.  This card has not one window, but three and I got it done the very first time.  I used the Stitched Rounded Squares (FRA-DIE-10232) and the Pinwheel (FRA-DIE-10226) dies which made it so easy to go together.

It turned out so soft and sweet and should work perfectly as a baby card.  I hope you have been peeking at all the wonderful creations the design team has been sharing over on the FB page.   Stay tuned, cuz there's plenty more to see!

Aloha,
Brenda

Crafty Lizzie

Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing with you a Whimsie Doodles cutie, Crafty Lizzie. You can find her in the People Digi's section of the store.

She's so cute and looks to be all ready for a crop!  I practiced a bit with my colored pencils on this image.  I used my Tomboy Irojiten pencils this time and really love how they blend.

Thanks so much for popping in!

LRW 387 Move It!

Hi all!  It's my turn to challenge you over at Little Red Wagon.  I have been loving all the moving cards that seem to be so very popular right now, so I want to see you "move it".  I'm  thinking wobblers, shakers, spinners, sliders, gosh, I'd even go for googlie eyes that move.  I'm leaving it pretty wide open for your creativity to take over.

So, here is my slider card featuring a cute surfer owl by Darcies's Heart and Home -

I love this!  You see, my husband is an avid surfer/SUPper and I think he will get a real kick out of seeing this little guy sliding around.  I'm thinking Father's Day will be perfect.

I can't wait to see what you choose to move.  Here's where the link is Little Red Wagon to share and to see what the Girlfriends have created for you.

Aloha,
Brenda
