Pink Elephant TPE258 + Sweet Sunday Sketch

I ran across a new challenge sifting through beautiful blogs.  The Pink Elephant is having an inspiration challenge based on this delicious picture.  I also used the Sweet Sunday Sketch #227.

I just happened to have colored an image with Copic Markers that, to me, fits this challenge perfectly.  The Bunny is back again!  He is part of the new TCP Summer release, Life is Like Ice Cream.  The papers are "vintage" DCWV from when I did some designing for them a long time ago. So, yes, I am a little bit of a hoarder...but look, I used it, right?

Thanks for stopping by!

Winnie and Walter Again

I was challenged getting my pictures taken today...what else is new?  This tag was made for the Winnie and Walter Distress Ink Tag It Challenge.  I die cut the tag using the Tim Holtz Sizzix die.  The "sand" was created by using Distress embossing powder with a little glitter thrown in to the mix. I used Versamark to stick the embossing powder with.  I cut the word Adventure using the cut file from Winnie and Walter, The Big, The Bold and Fun and then stamped the word beach in VersaFine Onyx Black.  I distressed the cut word with distress ink to make it a little more interesting.  The sand dollar and shell are cut files from Sillhoutte which were given a bit of distress ink.

Wishing you a wonderful week full of blessings and inspiration!

Winnie and Walter and Distress Inks

Another quick post of a card I made for the Winnie and Walter Distress Ink Challenge.  The challenge here was to use a watercolor technique.  I just played with putting distress ink on my acrylic block, misting it and stamping it on wet watercolor paper.  Such fun to see how these backgrounds come out.
The stamp set used is The Big, The Bold and You which I cannot say is my favorite because I love them all!  I used bit of gold Sheer Shimmer Spritz and sequins from Winnie and Walter to add a little extra.

Thanks for looking!

Quick Post...

I made this card a couple weeks ago as a grad card for one of our family friends.  I totally CASED it from ChristinesCreations.  I learned of Christine's talents from The Cat's Pajamas recent release.  She was recently named as the newest member of the Cat Pack, I can't wait to see more of her creations!  I needed something fast and her card was so cute...here is what happened.

I used the grad's school colors and drew in the fluffy clouds which were cut with CutUps from The Cat's Pajamas.  The cute Bunny and sentiment are also from TCP.  The image is colored with Copic markers and the background is a chalked Nestie from Spellbinders.

Hope your weekend has been peaceful, with a dash of crafting involved.
Aloha,
Brenda

W & W, Distress Ink and Stencils and Masks

Day 4 of Share the Love Week!  The challenge was to use stencils or masks, so I got my stencils out. Don't you love it when you find wonderful things in your stash you forgot about...Peacock Feathers!

The technique used here was based on one from the class, "Stenciled".  I used Distress Reinkers in Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Shabby Shutters on watercolor paper.  The Peacock Feathers stencil is from Kite Stencil.  The words for this card are from Winnie and Walters's The Big, the Bold and You.  Loved doing this card!

I hope your weekend was full of fun, family and sunshine!

Winnie and Walter + Distress Ink Day 2

Another card for the day three challenge, Ombre!!!  Distress Inks are perfect for this challenge, I chose to use Spiced Marmalade, Dried Marigold, Scattered Straw and Wild Honey.  I used one of the Tim Holtz Stencils, Rays and came up with this...

The words are of course from Winnie and Walter, The Big, the Bold and Fun.  The sequins were a surprise that was tucking in my last order from W&W.  Love everything about this company!

Winnie & Walter + Distress Inks Day 3 Resist Challenge

I got to spend some time in my craft room today!  I have to admit, it got off to a rough start.  I won't bore you with the details...just don't be lazy like I was, change those blending foams!  Third time is almost a charm and here is the result.  Didn't end up like the picture in my mind, but it will do...

The day 3 challenge was to use a resist.  I chose to use white embossing powder, Scenery: Big Bang Bling and Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans and Chipped Saphire Distress Inks.  I also used some Stampendous Shabby Blue Embossing Enamel to try to lighten it up a bit.

I did have fun making this card despite the challenges (including rain=poor photo).   Winnie and Walter and Distress Inks are a great combination.

Hope your weekend is going good!

Aloha,
Brenda

The Cat's Pajamas Summer Blog Hop

Happy Independence Day!  It is always so nice when holidays line up for a 3 day weekend.  I am posting a project today that is the first using my new Silhouette Cameo.  I used it to cut the Card in a Box Cutable from the new TCP Summer Release.  I loved it, such a time saver.

The stamped image is the ever lovable Bun from the Take Off set.  The number 4 is from the Numbers Plate CutUps and the oval is from Framed Up CutUps.

If you want to join in on the Summer Blog Hop Fun, check it out here.  Here's wishing you a fun, safe   4th of July!

Aloha,
