Little Red Wagon #673 - Birthday

It's Wednesday again which means it's time for a new Little Red Wagon challenge. This week Imke is our very talented hostess and she is challenging us to create a Birthday creations.

I used my Silhouette to cut mats and sentiment for this card.  The image is from Little Miss Muffet Stamps which unfortunately closed almost 4 years agočśĽ.  This little cutie is Spencer Loves Cake.  Barbara Sproatmeyer is still designing stamps for Whimsey Stamps, but I couldn╩╗t find any Spencer stamps.

Spencer was colored with Copic markers.  I used the terrycloth with alcohol to attempt making him look soft and fuzzy.  I added just a bit of sparkle on the cake for some extra birthday fun!

We would love to have you give our challenge a go this week.  Follow the link on over to Little Red Wagon and link up your birthday projects. While you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful goodies the Girlfriends have created.

Thanks for checking in.

Little Red Wagon #672 - All You Need is Love

Wednesday has made its way around again which means it's time for a new Little Red Wagon challenge.  This week Kate is our hostess and this week she is singing "All You Need is Love" (another of my favs). She wants to see projects with a love theme.  I would think wedding, anniversary, Valentine╩╗s would be slam dunks for this challenge, but it could be more non-specific like my card.

I got out an stamp set from Ellen Hutson and a sentiment (which I actually won awhile back) from Jillian Vance Design and created this CAS card.  I did freestyle the little shiny red heart on the expresso brewer to add just a little more love.

Why don't you give our challenge a go this week, just head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up. While you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

Aloha,
Brenda

Good Mood in the Making

Just Chillin

The September release from The Cat╩╗s Pajamas is a really nice mix of digis to be used for so many occasions. We╩╗ve got you covered for winter, Christmas, coffee and baking just to name a few. I╩╗ve got a few ideas to share with you today.

My first card is perfect for winter and features the digital stamp, Just Chillin. The Bunny was colored with Copic markers and made the star of this shaker card.  I created the frame using the Silhouette drawing tools and cut the frame to create a standard shaker card. The Snowflakes Cutables made the perfect embellishment for the frame. Finally the sentiment from the digistamp was printed in the center of Just a Thought Balloon SVG

The next card is another to add to my Christmas card stash. This card features Ho Ho Holidays digistamp.

The digi stamp was colored with Copic markers.  I thought it would be fun to create a fireplace for the Bunny to hang this stockings on.  I used a "brick" embossing folder and then watercolored to make the bricks look realish.  I cut the fireplace shape by hand and glued it on the Christmas wallpaper with the Bunny front and center.  The fun sentiment is part of this fun stamp set.

The last card today is one near and dear to my heart as a coffee lover.  It features the Sponsored By digi stamp set and our favorite Bunny.

The happy Bunny was colored with Copic markers and to change things up a bit, the cups were paper pieced with coordinating patterned paper.  A few crystals were added to finish it off.

As You Like It Challenge #242 - Metallic or Glitter Card

Another As You Like It Challenge had rolled around.  This fortnight our challenge theme is to share your favorite glitter or metallic.  Be sure to tell us why it's your favorite for a chance to win this challenges prize.

This week our sponsor is:

I love everything shiny! I love the look of glitter and glitter paper, but really don╩╗t like the literal fallout. All those little glittery flakes are pretty, but such a mess to clean up and they get EVERYWHERE!  I do love the shine of metallics also, especially when you have as much fun creating as I did making this card and no glitter fall out.

These are the bugs I made, my favorites are the ones with the metallic embossing powder shine.  In my quest to use up some of my stuff, I put some metallic tape on cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine with one of the new Tim Holtz embossing folders.  I love all that texture an made it pop a bit more by adding some distress ink.

As I mentioned, I had such fun creating this card.  Using embossing powder makes me happy.  I would you could see the iridescence of this dragonfly.

It's time for another As You Like It Challenge.  This fortnight our challenge theme is to share your favorite.  Be sure to tell us why it's your favorite for a chance to win.

Little Red Wagon #671 - Make It Anything but a Square or a Rectangle

It's Wednesday again, and today I╩╗m up as the hostess over at the Little Red Wagon challenge.  I thought it might be fun to "make it anything but a square or a rectangle".  I looking forward to seeing your projects (remember, it doesn╩╗t have to be a card) that are round or oval or something more like the one I have made.

I used one of my much loved Go Kreate dies from many moons ago.  I remember it cost me an arm and a leg but I still love it today.  The image I╩╗ve used is a NBUS stamp from Stamping Bella called The Stuffies Gang.  And yes, that is hand stitching, which I loved doing!  All these cute little guys are colored with my aging Copic markers.

I would love to have you join us this week, especially since I╩╗m the lucky girl who will get to see all your beautiful creations.  I╩╗m looking forward to being inspired, you Little Red Wagon folks never disappoint!  Here╩╗s the link, Little Red Wagon.  While you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created, cuz you know how good they are!
