I am a fan of both birds and beasts, but dogs are just my favorite, I hope you can consider them a beast. There's nothing like that little tag wagging to greet you when you get home, they always bring a smile to my face!  Here's my little pup card -

Little Red Wagon #506 - Sew It

This week, our Little Red Wagon Challenge is being hosted by Imke.  She has another fun "It" for us this week, Sew It.  I figure any thing to do with sewing should be good for this challenge.
Here's my card -

I let the cover die do the stitching for me on this card.  The fun sentiment and images are from Altenew.  I hope this fits the bill.

If it's more inspiration you would like, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the Girlfriends have created. Then head back to the Little Red Wagon to link up your project.  I hope you'll come join us this week!

Sketch Saturday #572

If it's Saturday, and it is, it's time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge with this fab sketch by Deb-

This week our Sponsor is

Beccy's Place

I used one of the freebie images, Birthday Banner, so generously provided by Beccy's Place.  Here's what I came up with -

This week I stayed pretty true to the sketch.  I did kinda sneak the sentiment to the right a little.  I loved being able to use the bright summery colors that go so well with that sweet little flower on the image.

It goes without saying, we would love to have you join us this week.  Head on over to the Sketch Saturday blog to see what the other Sketch Saturday girls have created and to learn more about the prize that is up for grabs.

I appreciate your visits!

Aloha,
Brenda

CRAFT Challenge #521 - Ribbon & Sparkle

It's time for another CRAFT Challenge!  Join us this week in making a creation that includes Ribbon and Sparkle in the design.

We couldn't have more perfect sponsors -

Color of Love
(formerly Lacy Sunshine Stamps)

and

Crafty Ribbons

Here's my card featuring a sweet little Whimsey Stamps Mistletoe Fairy -

I stamped this sweetie on Neenah paper and colored her up with Copic markers.  I added just a few jewels from Studio Katia and a little satin ribbon from my stash.  I seem to be on a monochromatic kick right now and love all the greens in this image

It's time now, to send you off to the CRAFT Challenge blog.  You will without a doubt want to see the beauties the DT have created this week.  We would love to have you join our challenge, check the CC blog for the prize that's up for grabs.

Aloha,
Brenda

Little Red Wagon #505 - Christmas in July

I'm so happy to let you know about our Little Red Wagon Challenge this week.  Kate is our hostess and she has decided it is "Christmas in July".  What a great way to add to your growing holiday card stash, right?

Here's my card -

With a surprise inside -

I have been wanting this Ellen Hutson set  f o r e v e r.  I have been really trying to limit my crafting budget and have pretty much committed to only buying things on sale...well, Ellen has had 2 sales in about as may weeks.  I just had to get this set and I'm so glad I did.  There's not much need for mittens in Hawaii, but my mainland and Canadian friends would be perfect candidates for this card.

So over to you now.  If it's more inspiration you would like, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the Girlfriends have created. Then head back to the Little Red Wagon to link up your project.  I hope you'll consider joining us this week!

Aloha,
Brenda

Last of the Coffee Cards

Hi there! I back, all fresh from vacation. I left before I had a chance to show my last couple of creations using the Frantic Stamper June release, so here's the first using Macarons (FRA-DIE-10658), Scalloped Circles (FRA-DIE-10649). Sweet, Yummy, Delish (FRA-DIE-10445) and Great Big Winter Tag (FRA-DIE-10529) are both from previous releases.

And a closer view -

This card was pretty straight forward.  The macarons and sentiment were shaded with craft chalks.  Please, if you have any questions, just leave them in the comments.

The next card was one of my favorites to make.  It features Inverted Scalloped Circles (FRA-DIE-10650), Coffee Grinder (FRA-DIE-10660) and Coffee stamp set (FRA-CL-133) -

I started by making the front from white cardstock.  The inverted circle was cut in the middle and clear acetate was adhered to the back side.   Doubled sided foam tape was applied to the back and around the circle.  A few sequins were dropped into the acetate covered section and design paper was placed over the circle.  Next I used my MISTI to line up the shaker top with the card base.  It worked like a charm.  Next I cut the coffee grinder from some adhesive wood veneer sheets as well as a scrap of black cardstock.  I used VersaMark ink and Emerald Creek embossing powder for the handle, the grinder section and the embellies on the front of the grinder.  I adhered the veneer to the image and glued the embellies to the front.  The sentiment was stamped and cut with Double Fishtail Labels (FRA-DIE-09735).  An extra was cut from a scrap of brown cardstock and both were glued to the card front as was the grinder itself.

So, that's it for the June release from Frantic Stamper for me. Stay tuned, I will soon be posted some of my makes from the July release, Feels Like Summer!

Thanks for checking this out!

Aloha,
Brenda
