CRAFT #343 - Any Thing Goes!

It's time for another CRAFT Challenge!  We would love for you to join us in a Any Thing Goes Challenge!  The sky's the limit, just has to be a new creation.

Our sponsor this week is:

Scrapper's Delights

I chose to use Scrapper's Delights Coffee Sentiments for my card.

I wanted to mix things up a little, so I did some editing to the image and paper pieced the cups.  A little Copic coloring was added to the rims.  They were then fussy cut and placed on a watercolor background.

I hope you'll have the time to play along with us this week.  For more information, inspiration and to link up be sure to visit the CRAFT Challenge blog.

I hope 2016 is full of everything good for all of you.  Praying for peace, health, joy and prosperity for all.

Happy New Fish

Welcome to CRAFT Challenge #343!  The challenge this week is quite simply, new.  I suppose you could go with new house, new baby, new year...so many possibilities.  So, you ask me why I went with new fish?  Mainly because I love this cute little image, but read on...

Our wonderful sponsors this week are:

The image I am using today is a freebie from Scribbles Designs.  This cute fella is Bubbles.

So the back story?  My daughter's fighting fish, Rainbow 2,  recently met his demise when he flopped down the drain while getting his bowl cleaned.  She was having a bad day and that was kinda the last straw.  This card is to celebrate the new fish moving in to the fishbowl.  Besides, he's so cute, I really wanted to color him up.

I made a diorama card to try to recreate a little fish bowl.  The supplies are listed below.  It will flatten out to a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card.

I hope you will be able to find some time to play along with us this week at CRAFT Challenge. Be sure to get more details about our wonderful sponsers prizes.

I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a New Year full of health, peace and love.  I want you to know how much I love seeing your creations.  Thanks for all your visits and lovely comments, they are much appreciated.

Aloha,
Brenda

Mele Kalikimaka #132

Apologies for being a bit late on posting this.  It's time for a new i {heart} sketches challenge at From the Heart Stamps.  I went with only the sketch this week, but it's your choice, the sketch, the twist or the sketch with the twist!

This week I used the jam packed set called Tropical Christmas.  As you can see though, I could be used to make other greeting cards as well.

Here's my card:

I had quite a time with this card.  Do you ever have a vision and have things go a completely different way because of creative opportunities (mistakes)?  I ended up coloring the image with Copic markers and fussy cutting it.  The sky is a piece of DCWV vellum, the ocean foam is Crystal Stickles and the sand is Straw Distress Stickles.  The banner is from Blueprints 2 from My Favorite Things.

I hope you'll play along with us this week.  For all the challenge details check out the blog here. You will have 2 weeks this time, the DT is taking a little extra time to spend celebrating with our loved ones.  We will be back with new creations January 4

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a New Year full of health, peace and love!
Aloha,

Here's my card which uses the sketch flipped to the side. I did the tWist too, there's plenty of snow on this one:

I used VW Snowman, an image Faith just recently made available in the store (along with a couple other cuties!).  The background was created by stamping white paper with VersaMark then using clear embossing.  Then distress inks were used make the snow visible.  The image was colored with Copic markers

Christmas is Coming Fast!

Hi there!  I wanted to share this little tag I made awhile back for the last Cat's Pajamas release and never got it posted.

It was made using the adorable Snowman Accessory Kit.  The He Said, She Said CutUps were used to make the "snow banks" and the lovely snowflake is from the Double Snowflake CutUps.  The tag was cut with my Cameo using one of the tags from the Popup Slider Cutable.  The sentiment came from Build Your Own Snowman .  It was stamped and embossed with white embossing powder and cut to fit.  The cute little snowman was colored with Copic markers and his scarf was paper pieced.

I still have plenty of Christmas prep to do.  Most of my cards still need to mailed (but they are made) and I am looking forward to making more tags this weekend .  My daughter will be home from school tomorrow (YEAH!), so I'm thinking our Christmas tree will go up this weekend!  It's going to be here in 2 weeks, ready or not!  Love this wonderful time of year!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I so appreciate that you take time to leave comments.  Praying your weekend is full of all that you love!
