Little Red Wagon #850- Signs of Spring

Here we are at Wednesday again, which means it's time for a new Little Red Wagon challenge.  Iʻm pleased to be hostess this week.

I live in a tropical paradise, but have noticed signs that spring is upon us. We have beautiful florals and color all year round, but come March you start to see tiny avocados and mangos forming and the plumeria trees quit shedding their leaves. I am beginning to see all those miracles so my challenge to you is to create something that illustrates signs of spring in your area. This could mean using spring colors, typical spring flowers. trees budding or the return of birds that leave for winter.  Maybe you would like to use baby animals or something Easter inspired.

I used yellow and green which are spring colors to me and this darling little fawn from Dreamy Clipart Studioʻs Whimsical Woodland Spring Clipart.  I added more pencil coloring to the pre-colored image and layered her up on papers from my stash. To finish the card I added a few "diamonds" for added interest.  I will add a sentiment when I decide what occasion to use this cutie for.

Why don't you give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up. While you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

Aloha,
Brenda

PS - This ended up being a "Thinking of You" card that went to a neighbor who is beginning her fight against breast cancer.  Donʻt forget to do your self breast exams!!!

  5. Such a sweet celebration of early spring. The soft yellows and greens feel so fresh, and the little fawn is especially charming with the extra pencil shading you added. The layered papers give her a lovely place to rest, and the tiny diamonds add just the right sparkle. A beautiful way to capture those first gentle signs of the season.
