This week, Kate has been inspired by one of my favorite Billy Joel songs, "Just the Way You Are". For this, she wants to see projects that celebrate somebody i.e., love, birthday, new baby.
As you can see, I used another pre-colored digi from Dreamy Clip Art Studio called Whimsical Woodland Spring Clipart. Once again I added to the color with my colored pencils. The flowers in this image were basically white, so I added a fair amount of color to her haku lei. I really love doing this and if you have any challenges that affect your coloring, this might be a good option to keep you in the game.
BTW, I made this card for a lovely neighbor, celebrating his kindness. He has been keeping us with fresh eggs.
.
Why don't you give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up. While you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.
Aloha,
Brenda

I love how you enhance the image with your shading, it makes all the difference. Another beautiful card Brenda. xx

Adorable card, Brenda! Your added colouring is perfect. I bet your neighbour loves it!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is just adorable, Brenda!!! And how clever you are adding color to the image; it really does complete it. The coloring you've done on your flowers matches your paper exactly. I know your kind neighbor will appreciate it (how nice to have fresh eggs!).
ReplyDeleteOh goodness!! This is simply precious! Such pretty papers too! I think I *need* to invest in pre-coloured images. I just checked out your link!
