It's time for another As You Like It Challenge. This fortnight our challenge theme is to share your favorite main color to use. For a chance to win our prize or top-3 spot, your project needs to show your favorite and you need to tell us why you've made your choice. That way, we can all appreciate why it's your favourite.
This week our sponsor is:
We would love for you to head back to the AYLI blog to link up your creation. While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs and take a look at the gorgeous creations the DT made for you to see!

Here is a quick little pictorial tutorial I mentioned I would do.
I like the Sizzix folder die, but wanted something a little smaller. These measure 41/2"tall and 31/2" wide when open. Here is the process I used to make these very small folders -
I started with a piece of scrap mixed media paper. I doesnʻt have to be very heavy weight if you are going to cover it with design paper.
You can size them however you wish and could certainly use smaller scraps. I liked getting 4 folders from the one sheet. The 5" x 31/2" size gives you some room to play with the size of the finished folder.
I specifically looked for beige, grungy papers.
Here is the one side glued down. I like to use a bone folder or brayer to make sure it is completely covered.
If you have doubled sided papers of your desired thickness, you wouldnʻt have to do all this gluing. Part of my purpose was to use up scraps, so this worked well for me.
You can certainly use your ruler for this step.
I used a little wash tape to hold the die in place.
The die I used is Stitched Tabs from Pretty Pink Posh. I know there are many other brands out there. See If you have any in your stash. I specifically wanted a center tab die, but this set gives you options.
Then I finished them off by adding bits of cheesecloth and ephemera I had in my stash. Initially when I decided I wanted the smaller file folders, I went online to see if I could find a punch or a die. I am really on a kick to use what I have, so I gave this a try and am so glad I did. I really had fun and I feel like it sparked a little creativity which has been lacking of late.
If you give it a try, please put your link in the comments. I would love to see what you do!😍
