So glad you are here today! We have a new challenge over at Little Red Wagon and Imke is our hostess. You may recall, she is working her way through the alphabet and this week we are on F and she is challenging you to create something that includes food on it or in it. I want to remind you, we aren't just looking for cards, any kind of paper craft will do as long as it has food in the mix.
I was looking through some of my digis the other day and ran across this cute gnome from Last Minute Manda's 'Happy Gnome Merry Christmas Bundle' (which I can't seem to find in either her own shop or her Etsy shop). I colored him up with my very affordable pencils from Amazon and layered in onto some die cut paper scraps and corrugated cardboard. A little twine was added and I popped everything onto the card front. I added some Stickles on the cookie top and as you can see, failed to let it dry enough.😐 I'll fix it before Christmas rolls around (I hope).
The next disaster was the sentiment. It was printed on WHITE paper, so I tried to tone down the white. Well, it ended up a little too distressed so the sentiment will also probably be changed out before Christmas. I really need to try and leave myself some to to fix any potential boo-boos, but it unfortunately is not going to be this week.
Please pop by the Girlfriends blogs for your creative inspiration. We do hope you will have the time and want to join us this week.
Much aloha to you all, I'm going to leave you with a picture of the orchid cactus that has been blooming. The pink has not be edited, it is that vibrant IRL. I'm so happy it is sharing so many flowers this year. I think she needs to be repotted after blooming is done.
Love the cute gnome and die-cut frames, love the twine round the corrugated card-and the sentiment looks fine to me.

I don't know, Brenda, I think the sentiment goes with the vintage feel of the card and matches your rippled kraft background, looks great to me! It's a super cute card. And just WOW for that cactus!!! So beautiful! Oh, and about LMM...she's got a deal going on with all her stamps prior to 2025 in one bundle. You can't buy them individually anymore (I actually bought the bundle, there are literally thousands of them included).
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Brenda, love the cute gnome with his yummy treats and the flower is stunning, what a colour..
