Little Red Wagon Challenge #789 - Piece And Long Life (Paper piecing)

.

The holidays are over and hopefully you have a little more time on your hands to do something fun and relaxing.  Why not join in on our new Little Red Wagon Challenge?  Janice is our hostess and she is saying, Piece And Long Life - paper piecing (layered die cuts or filling negative spaces work too).

I struggled with this challenge for some reason.  I hope you are not sick of Christmas cards because in the end that is whai I created using a NBUS Colorado Craft Company stamp, Big and Bold Holly & Berries.  I used scraps of paper to piece the image and really wasn't very happy with the end result.  I added a sentiment (which I love) from the stamp set and then really killed my buzz by adding some splatter.  The splatter has a little sheen which is not apparent in the picture, but I think I need to keep practicing my technique.

I do hope to see your linky on the Little Red Wagon Challenge blog.  If you are struggling like I was, check out the Girlfriends creations.  They always freshen up my perspective and make such gorgeous creations!

As always, thanks for your visits.  It really does brighten my day when give the gift of your time leaving a comment.  Again, praying everyone has a wonderful 2025.

Aloha,
Brenda

  2. I agree with Janette, I love your beautiful card and paper pieced holly leaves, love the splatters too, I don't have good results with splatters-the last time got splatters on desk, floor, phone, and me with one solitary splatter on my card lol.

  4. This turned out wonderfully! The paper piecing and colour splashes look fabulous! I’m not tired of Christmas (as we’re still eating shortbread) so the cards and creations can keep coming!
