Hi, I have a couple of Christmas cards created with digis from The Cat's Pajamas October release and a little tip. I decided to use the cute little animals from Warmest Wishes Digistamps.
I used Silhouette Studio to size and print the penguins and a supersized sentiment. The penguins were colored with Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut. I'm working with two injured pinky fingers at the moment and my cutting wasn't the smoothest. It reminded me of a tip I learned a long time ago and I thought I would share it for those of you who might be new to cardmaking.
Here is one of my cut images. Notice the white edges on this guy -
This picture shows the image after I ran the tip of a black marker around the edge. Much better, right?
As you can see on the card, I added a piece of thread and the little fish to the fishing pole instead of fussy cutting all that detail. Here's a little closer look.
The back panel was dry embossed with a folder and a few Nuvo drops were added to the sentiment for a little more color. There were all popped onto the front of a slimline card blank.
This second card was made in the same manor.
Here is the set I used today -
Thanks for taking a look!
Aloha,
Brenda

ReplyDeleteLove the cute cards and images-love the embossed snowflakes too-I always run a black marker round the edges too neatens and hides any rough cutting lol.

I love both these slimline cards, Brenda! Excellent coloring and fussing cutting. Sorry about your pinkies. I hope they're better now.
