Joy!

I love making shaker cards and I love the little penguins from Joy to the World, so it was a no brainer for me to combine the two.  Iʻm here today with an easy make Christmas shaker for you, featuring of course, Joy to the World.

This card started with a background I created with sprays, distress inks and embossing powder.  I wanted the appearance of a winter night for these sweet little caroling penguins.  The image was colored with Copic markers and cut with a ScanNCut.  There are several great sentiments in this set, but I chose Joy to the World.  It was printed, trimmed to size and backed with a gold cardstock scrap.  Both were image and sentiment were glued very securely to the background to prevent the shaker bits from getting caught.

Once completed,  the little scene was slipped into a "crystal bag" and shaker bits were added.  I adhered the flap securely and backed the bag with metallic gold cardstock and then a white cardstock base.  Another fun Christmas card ready for the stash and it was pretty quick and easy!
