I had a great time creating this "maile" lei for a Fatherʻs Day card. I used the following Frantic Stamper dies and stamps to create the shirt and lei; Scribbled Roses (FRA-DIE-09741), Open Spring Sprig (FRA-DIE-09173), Solid Spring Sprig (FRA-DIE-09166), Shirt Card Maker (FRA-DIE-10419), Giant Layered Happy (FRA-DIE-10594) and Giant Happy stamp set (FRA-CL-120).
According to the Hawaiian Lei Companyʻs description, "...this is an open-ended lei which hangs down to the belt line or below. Although beautiful alone, the Maile is commonly entwined with various flowers to add to its splendor. This lei is commonly worn by males for weddings, graduation ceremonies, proms, and special occasions." And thatʻs why I thought it would be perfect for Fatherʻs Day.
If you havenʻt visited the Frantic Stamper store lately, you should head over. There is a ton of new wonderful "stuff" there. I know Iʻve got my eye on a few things that may just happen to fall in my shopping cart very soon!
Thanks for stopping by. Wishing all our fathers a wonderful day!
Aloha,
Brenda
