I was blessed to win a gift card to Honey Bee Stamps in the last Coffee Loverʻs Blog Hope. As a result, ordered this beautiful peony die. I used Altenew inks to color white cardstock to create the flower. I added a few sequins (I think I have a lifetime supply) and then tried my hand at splattering with black watercolor. The sentiment is from Concord and 9thʻs Dahlia Turnabout stamp set.
Got some die cuts youʻve been wanting to use? Why not join us this week. Just head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up. While you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.
Your card is breathtakingly gorgeous, Brenda!! You've done a wonderful job colouring your beautiful peony and the splatters are such a romantic touch. Congrats on your win too!!
ReplyDeleteBrenda, this is a STUNNING card!!! Peonies are one of my favorite flowers and you've created a gorgeous one here. I love the way your black water color splatters look. And I salute your courage in attempting that. It turned out great. I'm afraid to stretch my creative wings too far sometimes for fear of messing up what I've already spent so much time on. You've inspired me, maybe I should be more creatively fearless.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card and love those beautiful die-cut flowers
