Hi all, or maybe I should say aloha considering my shares today. I'm here with a little different take on the new Shirt Treat Box Cutable SVGs. Alma has a great how-to video here so I won't rehash the construction. I substituted tropical print papers and brown cardstock to create Aloha shirts complete with "coconut" buttons. You can see both sizes here and course, no tie needed! These were quick and fun to make and will be perfect for the dads in our life.
My second share is a mixed media journal, inspired by the Sea Set Cutable SVGs and the Make Waves Digital/SVGs.
It started with recycled packaging covered with crinkled up tissue paper and matte medium. Once the cover dried, it was coated with gesso and then various colors of acrylic paint.
I pulled a number of background papers from my stash to cut the waves with a Silhouette. Most of these were created with paints, powders and sprays on watercolor paper. I even used the negative wave space for decorating some pages.
Here are a few more pages -
This bellyband was created with a lovely seahorse, doesnʻt he look elegant? I love the look of the waves in the background.
This vignette is the cover of one of the signatures in the journal. It was fun to show off the seahorse with the frame from Four Season Stamps Cutable SVGs. A few dew drops were added here and there to look like bubbles.
This is a tuck spot decorated with more waves and the shells which were cut a bit smaller than those on the cover. I love the flexibility of these Cutable SVGs!
Here are the wonderful digital products Iʻve used on both projects -
Thanks for taking a peek!
Aloha,
Brenda
