My favorite ink is VersaFine onyx black. I love the way it stamps a wonderful solid image. I also love coloring with alcohol markers, but they don't play well with VersaFine. I have a tub of clear embossing powder that I use after use right after stamping an image. It works great and also serves as a bit of a barrier to keep colors from mingling. I also allows you to stamp on vellum without having it smear.
