Frantic Stamper's new April release was such a pleasure to design with. After the tough year we have all had with the COVID stuff, the focus for this release is POSITIVE VIBES. I think you'll find it an appropriate name.
The first card features You Lift Me Up Words (FRA-DIE-10963) and Caring Balloons (FRA-DIE-10960) from the new release, and Slimline Frames (FRA-DIE-10874) from a previous release.
I die cut a bunch of balloon bunches and used watercolors to color them. I ties bits of thread to act as their strings. The slimline frame was layered on a base cut from from white cardstock . The background panel was colored with distress ink blending. The balloons were places as shown using foam tape. The sentiment was die cut from grey cardstock and glued as shown.
The card base was cut to A2 size and the background was created by blending distress oxide inks on white cardstock. The "cocktail" was cut and a shaker was created by covering the shape with acetate and filling with sequins. Cheers was die cut from the cardstock as the card base. A few dew drops were added in colors that coordinate with the background.
The third card was created using the following dies from the April release: Meshy Background (FRA-DIE-10976), Hot Air Balloon (FRA-DIE-10959), Happy Stitch Sun (FRA-DIE-10958), and Sending Positive Vibes (FRA-DIE-10964).
This card was pretty fast and easy. It started with a A2 white card blank. The sun, the mesh, and the sentiment were all cut from cardstock. The balloon was cut twice, once from brown and once from patterned paper and then pieced together as shown above.
The mesh was glued in the center of the card blank, the sentiment was glued on the balloon and the sun was shaded a bit with craft chalk. The were all positioned on the card as shown above.
