TCP Sneaky Peek Day 1

Hi, everyone! Despite all the craziness in the world, we have some fun in store for you. As you can see, it's sneaky peek week over at The Cat's Pajamas and I just can't wait to show you all the goodies Alma has for you.  This month we have 4 stamp sets, 8 die sets (2 coordinate with stamps sets) and 1 stencil to share with you and they are all spectacular in my opinion!

As always, the products will become available as they are sneaked throughout the week.  The full release will be available on September 29 when there will be additional discounting available on the Kitty Kat and Poochie Packs.  Matching stamp/die sets will be available to purchase separately or as a bundle with special pricing.

Today we are sharing one of my favorites (you might as well get use to hearing that because I LOVE THIS RELEASE!) We have for you the Simply Blessed stamp set and matching CutUps (which you can purchase as a bundle and save some $$ to get something else!)!

Now for my card!  I just loved making this little scene...I thought the new Stitched Tree CutUps would work so well in creating this scene and those mushrooms are A-DOR-A-BLE!  I had to make myself put these goodies away.

  • I started out by making the frame with white cardstock and the stitched rectangle from the Stitched Tree CutUps.
  • The tree was die cut from kraft cardstock and darkened with distress ink.
  • The rest of the scene makers (clouds, grass, leaves, mushrooms) were die cut using Stitched Tree CutUps and the also new Slimline Basics dies which I am so excited about!
  • I used a little distress ink on the clouds and cut a blue cardstock backing.
  • Layering started with the grass on front, the clouds back, last of all the backing.
  • The front frame panel was attached and then the real fun started!
  • The sweet lady bug and little forest pixie was stamped on Bristol paper, die cut and colored with distress reinkers.
  • The mushrooms were assembled and everything was attached with glue except the pixie who was popped up on foam tape for a little added dimension.
  • The sentiment was stamped on the oval from Portrait of Mew with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with gold powder.  The edges of the oval were also heat embossed by running the edge over a VersaMark ink pad and dipping it in the embossing powder then heating.
  • The oval was placed on one of the Ribbon Banners CutUps and this was adhered to the front.
  • Lastly, the scenic panel was adhered to a white card blank.

Here are the other new products used for this card -

Now I want to send you over to Wendy, Nancy, Kerry, Melissa and Deborah. Comment on each of their blogs and/or Instagram (mine is @brendanh50) for a chance to win a $10 gift voucher. We’ll pick a winner each day from the comments and post them on the TCP blog and on our Facebook page.

I hope I haven't forgotten anything.  If you have any questions, please leave in the comments.  I really appreciate you stopping by today.  I would love to hear what you think of this wonderful release!  Take good care!

Aloha,
Brenda
