Here we are at day #7 of The Cat's Pajamas sneaky peeks. It's last day of what I absolutely believe is one of the best ever releases from The Cat's Pajamas. Today we are sharing more stitched critters, namely Stitched Bear, Stitched Fox and a darling Stitched Tree CutUps that coordinate so beautifully with this release. I think we should petition Alma to do more of these. What do you think?
I have a couple of cards to share with you today. The first was created using the Stitched Fox, Stitched Tree, Simply Blessed Dies, The World is Yours, Portrait of Mew and Birch Tree Stencilz.
- This card started by stenciling Birch Tree Stencilz with distress ink (mustard seed, fossilized amber).
- This panel was adhered to a white top folding A2 card blank.
- A frame was created by die cutting the rectangle from Stitched Tree in the center of a 4.25 x 5.50" white cardstock panel which was adhered on top of the birch trees.
- Leaves were die cut using Simply Blessed dies as was the oval label die cut using Portrait of Mew.
- The fox was die cut and assembled as shown above.
- The sentiment from The World is Yours was stamped and it was mounted in the center using foam tape. The leaves were glued here and there and the Stitched Fox was mounted in the corner as show above.
The next card features Stitched Bear, Slimline Suburbs, Slimline Basics and County Fair CutUps. The sentiment is from Simply Blessed.
- This card started with an A2 white card blank (top fold).
- A green cardstock scrap was die cut using County Fair CutUps. The banners were snipped out of the scene leaving the grass and a green frame.
- The County Fair sun was cut from yellow cardstock and a circle punch glued in the center.
- A blue cardstock background was hand cut the same size as the green frame.
- The green hills, fence and clouds were die cut from cardstock and assembled as show above. The excess scenery was snipped the same size as the frame.
- The sentiment from Simply Blessed was stamped on white cardstock and hand cut into a tag.
- Twine was wrapped 3 times around the card blank and tied in a side bow after the tag was threaded on.
- The picture panel was mounted to the card blank with foam tape and the little bear and the sun were adhered to the scene.
