Day 5 of The Cat's Pajamas sneaky peeks has arrived. Today we hoping to inspire you with ways to use the fun, new stamp set, Christmas Tree Lot. Even the name is fun! I had such a great time playing with this set, I have 2 cards to share with you today.
I cut a card blank 73/4"x 33/4" and then a black cardstock panel 71/2"x31/2". I dusted the panel with an antistatic powder bag, stamped the Christmas Tree and stand with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I applied craft chalk to the panel and wiped much of it off with a Swiffer sheet, leaving a chalky look. The greenery was cut in bulk (I have plenty for future projects) and was a great way to use up scraps. The dies were laid out as shown above with Nuvo drops and Jelly Roll pens to add details. Lastly a shiny red bow was tied using sparkly thread.
Actually, when I first saw this set, it screamed tag and shaker to me. So, I went with the shaker idea.
I started with an A2 card blank. Next I cut a white panel which was treated with an antistatic powder bag. The Christmas tree was stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with a sparkly red embossing powder (which unfortunately is hiding in this photo). From there I made it like any other shaker card (there are tons of tutorials here). I used traditional Christmas colors and added a twine bow to the top. Absolutely such fun to make!

Thanks for peeking!
