Frantic Stamper June Release #2

I have more cards to share with you today, using stamps and dies from the June Frantic Stamper release, Deep Ocean.  The cards today give you a glimpse of below the surface.

The first card uses the following stamps and dies from the new release:  Stitched Currents Background (FRA-DIE-10839), Sea Buddies (FRA-DIE-10843) and Deep Ocean clear stamp set (FRA-CL155).  The following dies were from previous releases:  Large Staghorn Coral (FRA-DIE-10242), Coral and Seaweed Oval (FRA-DIE-10234) and Semi Circle Elements (FRA-DIE-10479).

The background was one I made awhile back with the watercolor and salt technique.  The Stitched Currents Background was used to give the watery current look to this panel.  This was mounted on a grey card blank.  The Beluga and Narwal were die cut and decorated/shaded with craft chalk and Copic markers.  The sea plants were die cut and colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment strip was die cut and the sentiment from Deep Ocean was stamped on it.  All of these elements were arranged as shown above.  The beluga was popped up on fun foam.

The next card shows a peek in the life of a mermaid.  Stamps and dies used from the June release include Deep Ocean Stamp die (FRA-DIE-10837), Rope Wreath (FRA-DIE-10852), Inverted Scallop 1/2 Panel (FRA-DIE-10838) and Deep Ocean clear stamp set (FRA-CL-155).  The Bokeh Circles Stencil (FRA-STN-043from a previous release was used.

I used a smooched watercolor backgrounds created with salty ocean and wilted violet distress oxide ink.  A few circles were stenciled onto the background using Bokeh Circles stencil. The rope wreaths,  fish and the sentiment flag were die cut from cardstock.   The rope wreaths were heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Golden Saphire Blue, and Tropical Aqua Blue while the purple ring was embossed using Nuvo Purple Haze. The fish were heat embossed with Emerald Creek Kiss of the Fairy and Mermaid Fin embossing powder.  The sentiment was stamped on the flag and the mermaid was colored with Copic markers.  A bit of Mermaid Fin embossing powder was also added to her fin.  The card was assembled as shown above.  The mermaid was popped up on fun foam.

We are heading into the weekend!  What better time to stop in the Frantic Stamper store to take a look at the wonderful selection of stamps, dies and other products they have to offer.

Thanks so much for looking!

Aloha,
Brenda
