Deep Ocean and Leftovers

The new release of Frantic Stamper stamps and dies this month is appropriately called Deep Ocean.  I think when you see this card, you will understand why.  I loved playing with this release and hope you will like what I've done.

The first card was created using Diving Helmet (FRA-DIE-10849) from the new release.  I've paired it with Freeform Wave (FRA-DIE-10476) and Be Yourself stamp set (FRA-CL-149) from previous releases.

The background was created with the follow distress oxide inks - wilted violet, walnut stain, peacock feathers, salty ocean and cracked pistachio.  The colors were smoosched on a thick cardstock.   and the edges were distressed with distress ink and the newish distress embossing glaze (both walnut ink).

The helmet was created by putting some aluminum tape on cardstock.  This was die cut and the fun began.  I used gunmetal and teakwood alcohol ink to create the old metal look.  So much fun!!!  The freeform wave was heat embossed with Emerald Creek Turkish Bronze embossing powder.  I put it all together as shown above.  The sentiment was stamped on a strip and added as well as some acrylic drops.

Since I didn't get all my May cards shared, I'm going to pop in a couple I made using the wonderful landscape dies - Washington, D.C. (FRA-DIE-10822) and Big City Skylines (FRA-DIE-10823).   The sentiments are from Reach for the Stars (FRA-CL-109) and Be Yourself (FRA-CL-149).

This background was created with very loose watercoloring.  The die was cut from a shiny cardstock and popped up on the panel.  The sentiment from Reach for the Stars was stamped (very carefully since I already had the die cut placed=).  The panel was backed on a piece of grey cardstock.

The background for this card was made from some watercolor backgrounds had laying around.  It was cut into a narrow panel and the edges were distressed with grey ink.   This panel was layered on a white cardstock blank.  The sentiment was stamped after figuring out placement of the dies (see, I learn from my mistakes=).  The sun was created by cutting a circle and uisng Emerald Creek Ancient Amber embossing powder.  The landscape was die cut and layered as shown above (popped up).  Lastly I got out my crimping tool and created a little base for the city.

Hope you have enjoyed looking.  I know my "instructions" are somewhat lacking, but if you ever have any questions, please leave them in the comments.  I tried to link to all the wonderful products I used that are available in the Frantic Stamper store.  Thanks so much for your visit.

I pray you are staying safe and well!

Aloha,
Brenda
