Grab the Unicorn

Tonight is the last night of The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peeks and I think we have saved one of my favorites for last.  Tonight we are happy to share with you Grab the Unicorn.  These have to be some of the sweetest little Unicorns around!

Along with 7 very cute unicorns, you get 5 fun sentiments so perfect for sending someone a very uplifting message.  Here's my card using Grab the Unicorn -

I have to share this rainbow picture.  I live the a valley well known for beautiful, frequent rainbows.  This one appeared as I was taking photos of my cards.  Unfortunately it meant I had to rush my picture taking, but now you can see where my inspiration came from...if only it had been that easy😂.

I really can't tell you all the steps that went into creating this card, because many of them don't show.  When I was almost done with it, I decided it needed a little splatter on the background.  Now, if you knew me, you would know that I am not good a splattering (that's why I love this stamp set).  Anyway, I decided it couldn't be too hard to take off the sprayer from a bottle of Color Bloom and just create a few splatters with the end of the spray head...WRONG!  I ended up dumping about 1/3 of the bottle on my background.  Not really sure how, but it happened.  I already had too much time in was determined to complete the card.  I ended up darkened the clouds and lengthened and darkened the rainbow (which was initially created using Watercolor Basics), attached the Unicorn which was colored with Copic markers and Stickles on top of a few Stitched Clouds, added the sentiment and a few Blue Moon sequins and stopped before something more disastrous could happen.  In real life, it has a nice ethereal shine (thanks to all that Iris Color Bloom) that seems perfect for the little sleeping Unicorn.

OK, I hope you are -

  9. Sorry for all your problems creating the background, Brenda - but it was sooo worth it! It looks so fluffy and ethereal that you feel you could just float on the clouds! Thanks so much for sharing the inspiration!
