Keys to Life

Hi my friends! Hope the weekend is going well for you. I have a couple more fun cards to share with you from the April Frantic Stamper release, Grads and Industrial. This first card features Rusty Hinges (FRA-DIE-10629) and the key from Key and Keyplate (FRA-DIE-10630). The sentiment was computer generated (Matthew 7:7).

The background was made using an embossing folder and distress inks. I love the way the Emerald Creek Rust embossing power along with Wrought Iron Boho Blends embossing powder gave a very realistic look of age to the hinges. The key was embossed with Turkish Bronze Boho Blends embossing powder.

This was a fun card to make too. It features the following dies; Key and Keyplate (FRA-DIE-10630), Chain Borders (FRA-DIE-10631) Stitched Rectangles (FRA-DIE-09640)and Stitched Double Fishtail Labels (FRA-DIE-09735).

I don't really recall how this background was made. It looks as if I used a Sizzix embossing folder on a background created with maybe distress oxide sprays. Then there appears to be some Seth Apter Patina Oxide Baked Texture embossing powder to give it a bit more texture. The keys were heat embossed with Wrought Iron and Turkish Bronze Boho Blends as well as some Seth Apter Ancient Amber Baked Texture. The sentiment was computer generated.

If you have questions, I will try to answer them. I love making backgrounds and unfortunately very seldom write down the ingredients. I have a pile of them waiting to find a purpose.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Aloha,
Brenda
