Grungy Steampunk

Since April is speeding toward the finish line, I have another card from the April Frantic Stamper release to share with you. I had such fun making this card which features Roman Clock (FRA-DIE-10635), Cascading Stars (FRA-DIE-10626), Steampunk Frame (FRA-DIE-10632), Pipe Fittings (FRA-DIE-10634) and Stencil Starburst (FRA-STN-010) from a previous release.

You might have guessed, I used more of the yummy Seth Apter embossing powders on this card.  I have to admit, I thought I had totally messed up the stenciled background.  I used some transfer gel to foil the starburst and as you can see it turned out less than perfect, but it really worked for this kinda grungy look.  The sentiment was made by stamping into melted embossing powder.  I rubbed some black ink on it to make the words a bit easier to read.  I LOVED making this card!

I had a great time making this card too!    This Antique Lights die (FRA-DIE-10628) has to be one of my favorites and I thought it went so perfectly with Chain Borders (FRA-DIE-10631).

I used distress oxide spray on deli paper to make the background by adhering it to a piece of white cardstock.  It was then mounted on Prima Craftsman Collection papers.  The light bulb was embossed as was the chain border is is hanging from.

Thanks so much for popping in.  I have a couple more creations to get in here before we share the May release with you.

Aloha,
Brenda
