This card was started with a kraft cardstock base and a panel cut from Prima Craftsman paper. The panel was sprayed with distress oxide spray (faded jeans) and splashed with a bit of water. Dies were cut from cardstock, the electrical circuit was cut from white and the stars were cut from metallic gold. Just the tassel was cut from a blue scrap (school colors were absolutely necessary) and glued to the mortar board. The circuit was coated with VersaMark and yes, more Seth Apter embossing powder was applied in Ancient Amber. A bit more VersaMark was applied and some Patina Oxide was added sparingly to give it that aged look. The panel was adhered to the base and all the diecut elements were glued in place.
The next card reflects a different king of Congratulations. These lovely champagne flutes looked just perfect to use as a wedding card. This card features Cascading Stars (FRA-DIE-10626), Layered Congrats & Block Congratulations (FRA-DIE-10625) as well as Crossed Champagne Glasses (FRA-DIE-10627).
This was a pretty straight forward card to make. The card base is just a panel cut from black cardstock. The white cardstock is actually the part that opens and this was adhered to the black panel. All the dies were cut, the stars and Congratulations from from gold metallic and the champagne flutes from vellum and a champagne-ish colored scrap. This scrap was cut down and adhered to the vellum champagne flutes. A gold ribbon was tied around the white base and the elements were then adhered in place. All of these elements could be used for most any type of congratulations.
