Over half the month of February has already zoomed past, but you still have time to enter The Cat's Pajamas TCP Tuesday challenge for this month. This month we want to see your furry friends front and center on your project. There are so many to choose from over at the TCP store, I had a hard time deciding. Remember, you don't have to use a TCP image, but I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to if you have any. If you don't definitely enter for a chance to win a gift voucher for $50...imagine all the furry happiness that could purchase!
Here's my card using one of our kitty friends from "Home is Where the Cat Is" -
You will also notice I have used several CutUps;" Goodies" and "Luggage Tag"s as well as a sentiment from one of my favorite sets, "Whee!". It's all held together by some Linen Button Twist.
To create this was fairly simple. I started by stamping and coloring the Kitty with Copic markers. He was fussy cut while I was watching TV...I'm I nuts for finding that relaxing? Next I cut 2 strips of scrap paper 1.5"x 5" and embossed the fish from "Goodies" on to them using my die cut machine and a rubber pad. I cut a kraft cardstock card base and a 4.25"x5" rectangle. The embossed strips were positioned on the panel and adhered with a tape runner which was then cut with a stitched rectangle die. While I was at the die cut machine, I cut a fish and a luggage tag from scraps of cardstock and placed a gem for the fish eye. Linen Button Twist was wrapped around the panel and tied with a bow to anchor the fish in place. A gem was placed to enhance his eye. The kitty was popped up on foam tape and placed over the Linen Button Twist. The sentiment was stamped on the tag with VersaMark and heat embossed with Hero Arts Platinum embossing powder. The tag was positioned and adhered in place and the leftover was flush with the kraft panel. The panel was adhered to the kraft base and now it's all ready for a recipient!
