Happy Easter

There's a new release at Frantic Stamper! It's just chock full of dies front he cutest bunnies to beautiful crosses and they are will leave you plenty of time to create for Easter. Over the next couple of weeks, I will be sharing cards featuring the fab dies from the February release; Happy Easter.

This first card was created using the Bunny with Basket die (FRA-DIE-10603) and the Eggstra Happy Easter stamp set (FRA-CL-124) the grass was created using Deckled and Torn (FRA-DIE-10481) -

The bunny was cut from Fun Foam to give him a little extra dimension.  Pink chalk was added to his ears.  The eggs ere cut from watercolor paper and painted with watercolors.  The basket was cut from kraft cardstock.  The grass was made using the Deckled and Torn die (FRA-DIE-10481) from the July release.  I love the way his little arm can be lifted to hold the basket.

I LOVED making this next card.  It features the beautiful Stained Glass Cross die (FRA-DIE-10611). The patterned background was created by combining the two Stitched Diamonds (panel 1 and panel 2) dies (FRA-DIE-10601 and FRA-DIE-10602).  The sentiment is from the Reverse Cut Spring Words (FRA-DIE-10609) -

I wanted to make this card reminiscent of a stained glass window.  I started by creating a loose design on glossy cardstock with alcohol inks.  Colors used for the yellow background were Lemonade and Sunshine Yellow.  The light blue background was made with cloud blue and a very small amount of sailboat blue.  The cross itself was created with combination of indigo and sailboat blue.  I used 91% isopropyl alcohol to help move the colors around.

After creating the back grounds I used the die to cut one cross from each color and a sheet of silver metallic cardstock.  The sentiment was cut from the same metallic cardstock.  The Stitched Diamond cover dies were cut from white cardstock.

paper pieced the cross using something like Stick It adhesive as the base and cut off the excess.  The Stitched Diamond cover dies were adhered together and placed on the card base.  The cross was centered and the inlaid die sentiment was placed at the bottom center.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.  Please stay tuned, I will be back to share more later in the week!

Aloha,
Brenda
