Dragonflies Abound

I have a couple of cards for you today that I completely enjoyed making. It showcases the new Brushstroke Dragonflies die (FRA-DIE-10592) and the Giant Thinking of You clear stamp set (FRA-CL-123) from Frantic Stamper. The background was made using Ken Oliver Mineral Bursts which are also available in the store.

The background was made using Ken Oliver Mineral Bursts (which are also available in the store) and smooshing them onto watercolor paper. The dragonfly was cut from a sparkle paper and the wings were cut from vellum to give him a bit of an iridescent, ethereal look.

The second card today also features the above products plus the lovely Dogwood Branch (FRA-DIE-10585) and the Floral Vine stencil (FRA-STN-024).  The must have Stitched Circle (FRA-DIE-09637) was from a previous release.

I started this card by creating a distress oxide ink panel of cracked pistachio.  I used the stencil to apply VersaMark to the panel with a sponge dauber.  After that, white embossing powder was added as well as some drips of water.  The dragonfly was cut from plain white cardstock and then heat embossed using Cosmic Shimmer as well as another brand of embossing powder.  From there, putting it together is pretty straight forward.  Please, if you have questions, just leave them in the comments.

Thanks for checking in.  I should have a couple more cards posted later this week using more dies from the Moments in Life collection from Frantic Stamper.

Aloha,
Brenda
