Unicorns and Rainbows

So Heather is in charge of choosing the challenge for us this week.  She is asking us to use a unicorn or a rainbow or both on our projects.  I happen to love unicorns and have several in my crafty collection.  I have chosen to use a freebie from Useless Trinkets.  I switched things up a bit and put a coffee mug in his hand -

I tried a new background technique using distress oxide inks and clear embossing powder.  It just kinda looked unicorny to me.  You can see the video here.

I hope you'll share you unicorn creations with use over at Little Red Wagon.  I know the Girlfriends will have some beauties to share if it's inspiration you need.  Don't forget, Heather will pick her favorites next week.

Aloha,
Brenda

  1. I was totally thinking of using this same freebie (especially seeing as it's the only unicorn image I have)! Wonderful card, Brenda! Love the sentiment and the background is cool.

  2. So fun! I love that you coloured the speech bubble too. That looks fantastic!

I just got side-tracked by going to watch the video to which you had linked. What a fun technique!! The stripes add such a fabulous touch to the oxide inks!
