As You Like It - Favorite Occassion

This fortnight's challenge theme is hosted by Kat.  She want us to make a card for our favorite occasion.  We can't want to see your wonderful creation, but don't forget to explain why it is your favorite.  We want the story too!

This week our wonderful sponsor is:

My favorite occasion has to be birthdays, so here is my card -

I love making birthday cards to celebrate my friends and family.  I want them to know just how special they are to me.  March and April are full of birthdays for me, so don't be surprised if you see more birthday cards in the near future!

I had so much fun making this card. Right now watercolor is my obsession. I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out. You definitely kinda have to let go when you are working with watercolor and I am so happy these colors took the path they did.

Please join us this week at AYLI blog to link up your creations. While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs and to see the fab creations the DT has made!

Thanks for stopping by, the weekend is almost here!

Aloha,
Brenda

  10. As you will have seen, birthday cards are my fave too as it's so nice to make something personal for each person...and I too have tons of family birthdays in March so will be busy busy!
Your watercolour background is so fabulous and I especially love the gorgeous soft colours. I've just bought some watercolour pencils but it might be a while before I try out a background...need to master colouring images first!
