Is it Color or Monochromatic?

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using 

your favorite, Color or monochrome and why.  You must explain why it is your favorite.

I have such a hard time...I love monochromatic, but I love color...it all depends on the situation.  I guess I tend to use colors more because I feel that color evokes more emotion.  This fun little image from Mama Elephant just screams that he wants fun, happy colors, so that's what I chose.
