Little Red Wagon - Try Something New!

It's time for another challenge at Little Red Wagon.  I'm hostess this week and can't wait to see the something new you showcase.  This leaves it wide open...could be a new stamp, a new tool, a new technique.  Looking forward to seeing what's new for you and if it's a tool or technique, can't wait to hear how you liked it.

Here's my make for the week -

The first technique I tried was was an epic fail using a Stampendous Creative Palette.  I tried using acrylic paints to make a background but the paper kept sticking.  Any suggestions?

Any way, I moved to plan B.  As you can see, my fascination for the darling From the Heart Birdbrains continues.  I am using Broom Flying Birdbrain for the first time (and love her to bits!).  I also used my Gelatos for the first time.  The background was stamped and heat embossed first.  Then I blended 3 colors of Gelatos for the background and 3 colors for the big, bright moon.  I just blended them with my fingers and a baby wipe.  I also put Wink of Stella on the moon and her cloak and hat.

You are definitely going to want to visit the Girlfriends to see what new thing they have pulled out of their wagons.  Then, link up at Little Red Wagon blog.  Can't wait to see what you use that is new.

Aloha,
Brenda

I would also like to enter the following challenges:
SOS#219 - Outta This World (moon)
Haunted Design House - The nights are drawing in

  13. Your flying Bird Brain is a pure delight, Brenda! The colors are so bright and bold! Good job with the Gelato painting. I haven't yet tried using them with my fingers and a baby wipe. They just sit quietly in the drawer, waiting ... too much schtuff, too little time!! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #5 ~ which was so long ago now! I’m sorry that nursing the Mister back to good health has delayed my visit to thank you. Thank you, too, for following me! It is a pleasure to meet you and become your follower, too! Enjoy your day and I hope to see you again soon! Hugs, Darnell
