I want to let you know about the newest Top Tip Tuesday Challenge; Inspiration from something in your home. I also want to introduce you to Scarey Santa, my inspiration:
He was named this by my children when they were small. I have to admit Santa has lost a lot of his former glory. He was stuck in an attic for many years but he lives with us all year round now. He belonged to my parents and, well, lets just say he is older than I am and that definitely qualifies him for vintage, almost antique:). I love him despite this because of the memories of Christmas past that he evokes, and they are all wonderful.
This is the design I came up with to honor these memories:
My tip for this week is to always test older embossing powder before you put it on your project. Apparently it can get old and this results in a less than desirable effect. (Don't ask me how I know this.)
I hope you have a chance to join in the fun. Thanks for stopping by!
Aloha,
Brenda

Hmmmm, maybe scary Santa has had one too many glasses of sherry?! The Santa on your card looks very kind though and the vintage feel to the design is gorgeous :-)
