Clean and Simple

Hope your weekend has been restful and full of what you love.  I made this card for Valentine's Day and didn't use it. Guess into the stash it will go. This one was again inspired by something I saw on Pinterest.  The paper  is Mohawk Bright white 100, it has such a nice smooth surface and works pretty well with Copic markers.   I stamped the heart and sentiment with an old Stampin' Up color, Riding Hood Red and clear embossed them.  The stamped panel was rounded on one corner and machine stitched around the edge with my Singer Quick Fix.  The heart stamp is from Verve, Hearts on Fire and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches, Pretty Phrases.

Speaking of the little Singer Quick Fix, does anyone have a small machine they would recommend?  The Quick Fix is not terrible like some I have used, but as you can see, it sews pretty rough. I just don't like getting my big machine out for small projects like this.
It's been really rainy here in paradise, but can't complain.  So many parts of the country are suffering so with the snow and cold.

Aloha,

Brenda

  1. Great CAS card, Brenda!! Yes, I am in part of the county suffering with the snow and cold. Spring is coming though, right?! That is what I keep telling myself. Have a great weekend!

  2. Hi Brenda, you made a beautiful card! I like the rough stitching line - it's a nice contrast to the clear edges of your stamped parts.
Wether is the wrong one - most of the time... Here (near Berlin in Germany) everything is dry and sometimes sunny - could be o.k., but the plants need some more water (we have a very sandy ground).
I envy you for your paradise-place a little bit (for me, to live there would be like holidays in everydays life).
    Greetings from Wiebke

    1. Hi Wiebke! Thanks for looking. I saw your beautiful creations posted to the pre class board, wonderful cards! You are right, living here is like being on holiday everyday. Hawaii is beautiful even when raining. I felt like I was living in the clouds today! See you in class.
