TCP Release Day and Blog Hop

It's finally release day over at The Cat's Pajamas and we are happy to be hopping to share all the wonderfulness of the September release with you!  Hopefully you have hopped here from Melissa's blog.

Today is the day all the new stamps and dies as well as the Poochie Pack (all the stamps at a 10% discount) and the Kitty Kat Pack (all the stamps and dies at a 10% discount) are available.  Here's a look at everything-

I'm sharing 2 cards with you today.  The first features Stitched Tree, Stitched OwlSlimline Basic CutUps and a sentiment from Simply Blessed all from the new release.

  • A gingham frame was created by using the stitched rectangle from Stitched tree to die cut the opening in the center.
  • The tree die was cut from kraft cardstock. The branch was darkened with distress ink.  This was centered in the frame and glued.
  • Clouds were die cut and positioned into the scene as shown above.
  • This panel was adhered to center of a blue cardstock panel cut to 4 x 5.25" and this was adhered to a white A2 card blank.
  • A square label was cut using Stitched Frames and More.  The sentiment was stamped and a flower embellishment was added.
  • The Stitched Owl, leaves and a flower were die cut from paper scraps, assembled and added to the scene as above.  The Owl was adhered with foam tape.
  • The sentiment label was added to the corner.

The next card features the sweet deer from Follow Your Arrow and a few leaves and berries from Oh Christmas Tree bundle from the last release.

  • The deer was stamped on Bristol paper, colored with distress reindeers and fussy cut.
  • The evergreens and berries were stamped on cardstock scraps and die cut with the matching dies.
  • Nuvo drops were added to the berries to give more texture.
  • A circle was cut using Going Round and Round CutUps.
  • The images were arranged and glued as shown above.  The deer was adhered with foam tape.
  • An A2 card blank was layered with 2 patterned paper panels each 1/4" smaller.  A ribbon was tied around the second panel before it was adhered to the base.  The scenic circle as adhered with foam tape as shown above.
  • The sentiment from Winter Style was stamped on a label from Circus Panel CutUps and adhered.
  • To finish things off a few Silver Saucers holeless sequins were added.
Kerry is next up on the hop and nobody is more inspiring than her.  If you need to back track or get lost along the way, here is the full lineup

  1. Well, both cards are adorable! What a great idea to turn the tree on it’s side to use as a branch. It’s perfect for the little owl

The time thief has been visiting me lately too , not quite sure where the days are going but my craft and blogging time seems to have been stolen!! I suspect it is the darker mornings and nights that have suddenly happened!! I am not ready to put my shorts away just yet!! Hope you are ok xx

  4. Oh my gosh!!! First, I really like the way you made the sentiment on the owl card. The little flower adds so much, as well as the stitches. I LOVE it, and I'm not usually really into the sentiment part. Now the second card is amazing. The enamel dots look wonderful with the SWEET DEER!!!!!! I love the look of the deer. It is worth getting the stamp set for the deer alone!!!!
