Sneaky Peek Day 5

It's sneaky peek #5 over at The Cat's Pajamas.  You've seen glimpses of Spring and Easter so far.  Everyone knows that in order to have our beautiful May flowers, we need some Spring showers and that's what we have for you today.  This stamp set is called 'Splish, Splashand has the cutest kids out there playing in the April showers.

I thought this would be the perfect set for making a Magic Rain Card.  For this card I used Clouds and Balloons CutUps die and Grass CutUps in addition to 'Splish, Splash'.  Cristena did a great tutorial here showing how to make this fun interactive card.

To make the background, broken china, stormy skies, chipped sapphire and a touch of wilted violet distress oxide ink was blended.  I applied the ink with the Big Beautiful Blending Brush and then flicked a little water on it.  Stormy skies and chipped sapphire gave color to the clouds which were cut with the Clouds and Balloons CutUps die.  The images were stamped, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut from Neenah #100 papers.  Grass was cut using from green cardstock using the  Grass CutUps and placed around the puddle on a piece of paper large enough to cover the "rain" mechanism.  The card was assembled basically according to Cristena's tutorial., though I did clip my fishing line.  Last of all the sentiment was stamped, matted and adhered to the card front.  This was really fun to make!

OK, now we want you to be  -
