November Release Day and Blog Hop

To quote one of the new TCP stamp sets, WINNING, "YAY!"  Today is RELEASE DAY and we are celebrating with a blog hop just for YOU!  Release day means all the new items can now be yours and the KITTY KAT PACK and the POOCHIE PACK are now available with special pricing.

Today I am sharing a card for the new year made with 2 of the 7 new STENCILZ.  I have to tell you, I usually love everything Alma comes up with, but this stencil, SUCCULENT is so cool!  I had no idea I would have such fun trying different techniques with it.  Here is my favorite -

To get this print, I put the stencil on watercolor paper (9 x 12" cut in half) and sprayed it generously with water, then picked it up and put the wet side down on the other half of the paper.  I quickly puffed some Color Bursts in merlot, terre verte and cabbage on to the wet paper and this is what happened.  I tried this technique several more times, but this was my favorite.  I used gold Glitz Glitter Gel and SKINNY NUMBERS to stencil the year.  The panel dried over night and was then cut down to a 4 3/4" square and matted on dark green cardstock.  The panels were mounted on a 5" cardstock blank.  The final touch was a gold twine bow.  You'll be seeing more of these panels in the future.

My last share is a tag for the new year.  I thought it would be nice on a bottle of wine or champagne for a friend.

This was a tag I had in my stash that had been cut using SPRING TAG DUO.  It's hard to tell, but it was messy painted with metallic paint in gold and gun metal.  I used SHAKEY NUMBERS to stencil the year in black soot distress ink and then clear embossing powder.  A few scrolls were stenciled using HANDDRAWN SCROLLS .  The sentiment HOORAY from WINNING! was stamped and heat embossed.  Chunky Metallic Seasonings were scattered over the tag and heated from the back side to create the fun dots.

I'm hoping you hopped here from Wendy's blog, if not, just click on the link, you'll certainly not want to miss her fab creations.   Here's a list of all the stops -
