It's time for another CRAFT Challenge!  We would love for you to join us the week in sharing your creation which has been inspired by a book.

Our Sponsor this week is -

Here's my card using Knobby Knees Nurse provided by Bugaboo Stamps -

I was inspired by reading I have been doing lately at work.  Not a very glamorous read, but it is a necessary read for my job.  It helps us keep up to date on the care of diabetes.  This publication is called ADA Guidelines of Care and it gave me a great reason to color up this darling little nurse.

For more information about the prizes, guidelines and inspiration from the DT, check out CRAFT Challenge blog.  We will be looking forward to see what books inspire you.

Thank you for dropping by.  The weekend is almost here!

Aloha,
Brenda

Without further ado, head on over to the Little Red Wagon to join in on the fun.  I know you are going to love what the Girlfriends have come up with.

Another TCP Sneak Peek!

As you know by now, it's sneak peek week at The Cat's Pajamas.  We are mixing things up a bit and today it's my turn to share.  This fab release features 2 new stamp sets, one re-release stamp set and 2 new CutUps -

My first two cards were made using one of my all time favorite sets, Hola Tequila.  These Penguins are just so much fun and so perfect with Cinco De Mayo just around the corner.  Don't hesitate to pick it up because when it's gone, there's no more -

I was a bit concerned about the next set, Watercolor Basics...at first...then I started playing with it and now feel it will change the way I make many of my cards. If you are fan of smooshing but find it challenging to get the look you want, this is the set for you.

Featuring Basic Watercolor and Bunnies in Flight sentiment

The next card features the beautiful CutUps, Live, Love, Laugh and Watercolor Basics.  For this card and the one above, I stamped and then spritzed it with water to give it a blended look.

Featuring Basic Watercolor and Live, Love, Laugh CutUps

You can't even begin to guess how much paper has given it's life because of my inability to splatter without it going wild. Splattering scares me to death no longer.   This card also uses Watercolor Basics and one of the Buns from Bunnies in Flight.

This card features Bunnies in Flight and Basic Watercolor set (splatters and drips)

And here's that rascal Bunny again, floating around in the Clouds and Balloons CutUps.

Hola Tequila is currently available over at the TCP store here and the other stamp sets and dies will be available on April 25.

Today could be your lucky day!  Just leave a comment and stay tuned. Tomorrow, we’ll choose a lucky winner from those commenting to win a $10 gift voucher for the TCP store  Check the TCP blog and on our Facebook page for the winner.SaveSave

Be sure to stop in tomorrow to see Deborah's sneek peeks!

The Blues

It's time for another As You Like It Challenge.  This fortnight we want you to tell us your favorite color.  Use it on your creation and then, tell us why it's your favorite.

This week our sponsor is:

Here is my card, using my favorite color, blue and blue and more blue.  I love blue best and always have.  I love it now because it is the color of the beautiful ocean that surrounds our little island. The different hues the ocean shares never ceases to both take my breath and calm me at the same time. -

The blues in this card came from distress oxide inks (LOVE THESE) in faded jeans and broken china.  Some clear Dreamweaver embossing past was stenciled onto the right side.

For details on this card see below.

I am looking forward to seeing what color is the overall favorite.  I also can't wait to see your creations, we have such a talented lot of participants.  We are waiting for you over at the AYLI blog.  While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs and take a look at the gorgeous creations the DT made for you to see!

Thanks for stopping by, the weekend is almost here!

Brenda

From the Heart Stamps Vault

Yes, we are back with a sketch from the FtH vault.  Everything old is new again, right.  I happen to really love this sketch which started it all off.   This week, we have this fun sketch only, no tWists, so here ya go!

Here's what I did with the sketch using Doodle Cake -

I stayed pretty true to the sketch and used up some scraps from my stash and some near antique embellishments.  I have a bunch of birthdays this month, so this will be mailed very soon.

I'm really trying to learn to use my pencils, this was attempted with Prismacolors.  I would love you to leave a comment telling what your favorite pencils are and any tips to might have to using them.  The other thing I would love to know if you took any online line classes, which one(s) you recommend.  Thanks!

I hope you'll find the time to join use this week.  Here are the challenge guidelines (minus the tWist, of course).  As always, thanks so much for dropping in.

Aloha,
Brenda

WD April Challenge

It's any thing goes challenge time again at Whimsie Doodles and this month our twist is food or drink.  There are some perfect images for challenge in the Whimsie Doodles store.  There are even a few freebies that would work for this challenge.

For my card, I choose to use Sentiment-edibles which has so much cuteness to chose from.  Look for more of this set from me in the future.

Here's my card colored with Copic markers -

Here's the link for more information about the challenge.  Remember you don't have to us a Whimsie Doodles image, but if you do, you'll win even more WD goodies.  Remember those freebie images!

Thanks for stopping by!

Gold and White

It's time for another CRAFT Challenge!  We would love for you to join us this week.  We are asking to see creations using white and one other color of your choice.

Our Sponsor this week is -

Here is my card using white and gold and the sweet Adrienne Angel which was generously provided by Eureka Stamps -

This was a fun image to color.  I went a different direction than usual and used not only Copic markers, but also clear Wink of Stella, a clear Atyou Spica pen and a gold American Craft glitter pen.  In real life it has a wonderful soft sparkle that I couldn't catch with the camera.  The die is a Simon Says Stamp die cut from gold metallic paper by ColorBok.

Join us at the CRAFT Challenge blog to see what the DT has created and to link up your creation for a chance to win.

Aloha,
Brenda
