i {heart} sketches with a tWist at From the Heart Stamps

We have a new sketch with a tWist for you today at From the Heart Stamps.  Here's the sketch with all the tWist information included.

I thought this sketch would be perfect for the darling Faithful Friend image, Shine ,  Here's my take on the sketch with no tWist this week -

I colored her up with Copic markers and used dies from My Favorite Things to make the flowers.  I will add the sentiment when I know where she is going.

I hope you'll want to join us this week.  Here are the guidelines for the challenge.  Looking forward to seeing your beautiful creations! Thanks for your visit!

This is Not a Card

It's time for another As You Like It Challenge.  This fortnight our challenge theme is Not a Card.  We want to see your favorite non-card project and you must include what it is your favorite.

This week our sponsor is:

A while back I decided to try making my own traveler's journal.  Here's what happened  -

The reason I chose this as my favorite non-card project is three fold.  I had some faux leather paper I wanted to try out, I wanted a way to keep track of myself and I just thought it would be fun to do something different.

I embossed the cover and colored it with a combination of distress inks.  The rest was put together by checking out Pinterest.  I had fun making it and it has been very useful in helping me (kinda) stay organized.

I can't wait to see your creations and see what you have chosen to make and why you have chosen it.  So, head back to the AYLI blog to link up your creation.  While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs and take a look at the gorgeous creations the DT made for you to see!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week is going well!

Brenda

I am hoping you will have a chance to create a Farm related creation and will link up with us over at Little Red Wagon!

Thanks for stopping by!

TCP 332 - Word Up

It's TCP Tuesday again and we have a fun challenge for you.  We are calling it Word Up!  As you may have figured, we want you to feature words on your creations.  The Cat's Pajamas has a plethora of wonderful word dies and stamps.

Here's my card using the beautiful Always  and Stitched Hearts CutUps -

I did some watercolor smooshing and used the die to cut Always.  I then used the watercolored piece as one of the base layers.  A stitched heart CutUp and a few sequins were added for just a bit of pizazz.

Here are the details for our challenge -

  1. Every other Tuesday a new challenge will be posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and our Facebook page.
  2. If you want to play along you just upload your design to The Cat’s Pajamas blog page using the InLinkz button by the Monday, 11:55 EDT before the next challenge.
  3. You are not required to use a Cat’s Pajamas stamp or die but if you have them we would love to see them.
  4. On the following TCP Tuesday, the winner will be chosen from the previous challenge and will receive a Cat Cash Voucher for $10 or $15 if a TCP product is used.
For more ideas, stop in and see ChristineDeborah and Wendy.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Looking forward to seeing your wonderful creations!

Here's my card using Dear Santa from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps -

Ribbons or Lace?

It's time for another As You Like It Challenge.  This fortnight our challenge theme is ribbon or lace.  Use your favorite on your creation and tell us why it's your favorite.

This week our sponsor is:

Here is my card, using ribbon which has been a favorite of mine since I was young.  I remember scouring estate sales for any ribbon or lace I could fine.  Ribbon is just so very versatile.  It comes in so many wonderful colors and textures, I just LOVE it -

For this card I use some seam binding I dyed myself with a few sprays of Smooch Spray.  I especially love the wrinkled look this gives the ribbon.

I can wait to see your creations this week and learn which you prefer, ribbon or lace.  Please join us back at the AYLI blog to link up your creation.  While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs and take a look at the gorgeous creations the DT made for you to see!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week is going well!

Recycle with CRAFT Challenge

It's time for another CRAFT Challenge!  We would love for you to join us this week in creating a project by recycling something bound for the bin.

Our Sponsors this week are -

The week I had the pleasure of using an image provided by our sponsor, QKR Stampede.  I would like you to meet Moose -

I have been moving my studio into a larger room (which has taken most of my free time over the last 2 weeks).  In the move I found some shoe laces, some corrugated cardboard and some evergreen die cuts from another project, that were bound for the trash bin.  They all have kind of rustic look that I thought Moose would feel right at home with.

I hope you will have the time to join us this week CRAFT Challenge blog.  If it is inspiration you need, stop by the blog and see what the Teamies have made this week.  We also have a guest designer that is going to knock your socks off with her creation.

Thanks for dropping by.
