LRW #370 - Chilly Friends

I have to thank Donna, I love this weeks challenge.  My biggest problem was deciding which Chilly Friend to use on my creation.  I have darling snowmen and polar bears and penguins and kids playing in snow.  This is the sweet image that won out and it has the perfect name, Chill Wishes-

I had such fun making another slider card with this darling little penguin.  If you are attracted to chilly friends like I obviously am, I know you are looking for a way to showcase your cuties.  Why not hard on over and link up your creation at Little Red Wagon this week.

So glad you slid on by.  Happy Wednesday!

Whimsie Doodles Fleece Navidad

I have a little Whimsie Doodles inspiration for you today.  I'm using  'Fleece Navidad' to make another Christmas card (almost done there).  This cute little lamb can be found at the top of the Holiday/Christmas digital stamps.  I just fell in love with this phunny little image.

This would be a great image for our current challenge.  You can find details here.  Thanks for taking a peek!  I hope you'll join us over at Whimsie Doodles!

Here is the sketch for this week -

I took a bit of liberty with this sketch and went from a square to a rectangle.  I am using a delightful image from our sponsor this week, The Paper Shelter.  Here's what happened -

This cutie is called Enchanted Christmas and comes both colored and uncolored digi.  I used the pre-colored image and talk about fast and easy!

I hope you'll join us!

Thanks for looking.  Hope your weekend is full of all you love!

CRAFT 391 - Not a Card

First off I want to wish all my fellow Americans Happy Thanksgiving.  It's going to be quiet for us this year.  I am none the less very grateful for all of my blessings including each and every one of you.

Since it's Thursday, it's time for another CRAFT Challenge!  We would love for you to join us in making something that is not a card.

Our Sponsors this week are -

I decided to make some paper bonbons using my WRMK envelope punch board.  There are many tutorials available on the YouTube and they are very easy to make.

These were completed for my co-workers so I added their names to some simple tags and filled them with little treats. The holly leaves were made using an antlers die from Pretty Pink Posh and a hole punch.

I am very excited to see what y'all are creating.  Please be sure to stop by CRAFT Challenge blog and link up to show us your stuff.  The DT has some really special goodies to share themselves.

Thanks for stopping in.  We've almost made it to the weekend!

Aloha,
Brenda

LRW Sparkle and Shine

Hi there!  This week over at Little Red Wagon, I'm up to hostess.  This time of year there is so much to celebrate.  What better way to share this, than to make a sparkly, shine card and send it to a friend or loved one?

Here is my card, using another darling Lili of the Valley image Christmas Bunnies Post

It was kind of hard to capture the shine, but I used Stickles on Bunny's hat/scarf and the snowy path.  I also used some new to me Snowflake paste on the holly that I got on my recent trip to the mainland.  It's hard to appreciate the sparkle in this picture.

Well, that's it for me.  We would love for you to play along with us at Little Red Wagon this week.   I know you are going to want to see what the Girlfriends have created for you this week.  I will post my top picks next Tuesday.

As always, I appreciate your visits.  I hope your week has been a great one so far!

Aloha,
Brenda

TCP 328 - Snow

Time for another TCP Tuesday Challenge!  This time we want to see your projects that include SNOW.  I heard that parts of the US mainland had snow last week.  We have actually already had snow twice here on the big island of Hawaii on the summit of Mauna Kea.

With that as inspiration, I created a small shaker tag featuring Bunny from the new set, Santa is Coming.  I also used the fab CutUps Hill and Dale and Square Stamps -

I filled the shaker with Frantage Shaved Ice flakes which are wonderfully sparkly.  So, my shaker love continues:).  I colored Bunny with Copic markers and used a white Jelly Roll to put dots on his scarf.

Here are the details -

  1. Every other Tuesday a new challenge will be posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and our Facebook page.
  2. If you want to play along you just upload your design to The Cat’s Pajamas blog page using the InLinkz button by the Monday, 11:55 EDT before the next challenge.
  3. You are not required to use a Cat’s Pajamas stamp or die but if you have them we would love to see them.
  4. On the following TCP Tuesday, the winner will be chosen from the previous challenge and will receive a Cat Cash Voucher for $10 or $15 if a TCP product is used.
For more ideas, stop in and see ChristineDeborahJessicaJulieNancyStacey and Wendy.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I can't wait to see how you use snow on your wonderful creations!

For Faith

I am posting this little cutie in honor of the wonderful news Faith shared with us on the From the Heart Stamps blog here.  I am so happy she is feeling so much better and has even started drawing again!  She is one multitalented, amazing gal with such inspiring faith.

This little mouse can be found in the FtH Store here.  I've colored him up with Copic markers and added a little Stickles on his hat.  The papers are from Basic Grey's Evergreen paper pack.

As always I appreciate you popping in.  I would ask that you continue to keep Faith and her family in your thoughts and prayers just as I will.

Aloha,
Brenda

Whimsey Doodles Christmas Tags

Happy Saturday!  I have another creation for you featuring Christmas Greeting digital stamp set from Whimsie Doodles.  I really didn't have a good way to share them with you, so please forgive the less than stellar photography.

I colored up the tags with Copic markers and punched them out with a circle punch.  They were matted with holographic paper from ColorBok and then cardstock.  A bow was added as well as some baker's twine to tie them to a package.  These were quick and easy to make during the busy holiday season.

Thanks for stopping by, happy crafting!

Aloha,
Brenda

AYLI 91 - Christmas colors

It's time for another As You Like It Challenge.  This fortnight our challenge theme is .  Use a  on your creation and tell us what your favorite Christmas colors are and why.

This week our sponsor is one of my favorites:

Here is my card, using my favorite traditional Christmas colors, red, white and green.  I use the darling image, Winter Rosie Set from our very generous sponsor -

I love nontraditional colors for Christmas also but I think I usually tend toward traditional because it reminds me of my fondly remembered Christmases as a child.

I hope you'll join us in the challenge this week.  Be sure to check all the wonderful inspiration provided by the DT over on the AYLI blog to link up your creation.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week is going well!

Here's my card using this darling image from our generous sponsor Bugaboo Stamps.  The image is called appropriately enough, Meowy Christmas -

LRW #368 - It's Emboss-able

Wednesday again, yip, they are in fact rolling around faster and faster and Sandy is asking for the Emboss-able.  Translated, she wants either wet or dry embossing to be added to our creations this week.

In my little circle of crafty friends I'm the heat embossing queen.  I usually even emboss my stamped images because I love that little bit of added texture (and I think it helps me keep in the lines 😏).  Here's my creations using Lili of the Valley's Christmas Noel Bunny Trio -

It's a bit hard to see, but the snow is Frantage embossing enamel.  I just love using the Frantage for snow and stars.  Anyway...

I sure do hope you can find time to do the emboss-able and join us this week at Little Red Wagon.

Aloha,
Brenda🌴

Whimsie Doodles December Challenge

Welcome to a new challenge at Whimsie Doodles.  The challenge is  always Anything Goes With A Twist.  It's your choice whether or not you want to use this months twist which is "Christmas is Coming".  For all the information on the challenge you can check out this post.

I thought Lantern Santa was perfect for the twist this month.  You can find him under Holidays/Events in the Christmas section.

I know many of you are working away on holiday cards so why not take a moment to link up your creation on the Whimsie Doodles blog.  Keep in mind, you don't have to use a WD image but, doing so puts you in the draw for 5 WD images of your choice (3 for non WD images).

Looking forward to seeing your wonderful creations!  Thanks for popping by!

Aloha,
Brenda

TCP Tuesday - Week 2 of Stars

It's time for week 2 of The Cat's Pajamas TCP Tuesday Challenge - Stars.  I know some of you are making holiday cards.  Why not work a star into  your design and join us?  Remember, you don't have to use a TCP image but come on how could you resist a cutie like this?

I pulled out one of my all time favorite sets, Soar, and here's what happened -

I used a watercolor technique based on this tutorial, but took it my own direction and added some Frantage embossing enamel.  I had to use the fun stars from 3 x 3 Stars CutUps cut from holographic paper (so cool, right?).  The sentiment from Space Cadet was masked.  The first half is on the front and the rest on the inside (You Don't Always See Them But You Know They Are Always There).  I colored Bunny up with Copic markers and I think there are some Atyou Spica markers on the space ship.  I am having so much fun with the Roller CutUps, this card makes the Bun tumble his way through space.  It was so fun to make this card!

Here are the details on the challenge -

For more ideas, stop in and see AlmaDeborahJessicaJulie, and Wendy.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Looking forward to seeing your wonderful creations!
