This week our sponsor is:

Here is my card using my beloved Copic markers and a cutie pie image, Merlin and Binky from DigiStamp Boutique-

I love the wonderful color blends and shading you can get with them.  It is always fun trying different combos to see what you can come up with.  I also enjoy the techniques using various ink to add details that look like fur or denim.  It always an adventure when I play with my markers.  For details on this card see below.

I can wait to see your creations and learn what your favorite coloring medium is.  Now just head back to the AYLI blog to link up your creation.  While you are there, take a look at the gorgeous creations the DT made for you to see!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week is going well!

You had me at SPARKLE

It's time for another CRAFT Challenge!  We would love for you to join us in adding ribbon and sparkle to your creations.

Our Sponsors this week are -

and

Here's my card using Stampingbella's Uptown Girl Marcella goes to the Masquerade -

I tried my luck with Prismacolor pencils again hoping to give the feathers a soft look.  I added pops of shine to the dress and mask with a Sakura Jelly Roll pen and used glitter paper from Colorbok and DCWV to give her a background.  The tiny tag is from my current go to sentiment set from LOTV (love this!).  Over all, I was pretty happy with the result.

Who doesn't want to create something using ribbon and sparkle?  Come on over and join us in the fun at CRAFT Challenge blog.

Button It Up!

Welcome to the Little Red Wagon challenge #348.  I have hostessing responsibilities and I am looking for a way to use my buttons. I'm not picky, it can be real buttons, stamped buttons or faux buttons.

Here's my card using Papertrey Ink's Button Boutique Stamp Set and Buttoned Up 2 die -

I find this card hilarious!  I want us to use buttons, right?  My love for buttons began a very long time ago when I would dig through my mom's button box looking for the prettiest.  Later, I started going to estate sales with an eye open for lace and buttons even before my scrapping/card making days.  At this point I have several shoe boxes of buttons.  I'm looking for uses for all my treasures and what do I do?  I make buttons out of paper, dies and Glossy Accents!  Oh, my...

I'm looking forward to seeing your wonderful creations.  If you need inspiration, stop in and see what the Girlfriends have to share over at the Little Red Wagon.

Aloha,
Brenda

Imagine, Invent, Inspire!

Good morning!   I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, but here it is Monday again, and time for another From the Heart Stamps sketch challenge.  Here's the sketch, but remember, if the sketch doesn't float your boat you can do the tWist.  The tWist this week is to add paper piecing to your project.

Here's my card using Mad for Science

As you can see, I stayed true to the sketch this week and added a paper pieced tie for the professor and a piece of wood veneer for his table top.  The sentiment came from Nerd Girl Potion.  I unfortunately put the inventing ahead of the imagining, but regardless this cute little professor is going to inspire!

Just a reminder that you must use a From the Heart Stamps image to enter the challenge. A random prize will be awarded, and Top 3 selected by the Design Team.  You'll have a little extra time to enter this Challenge which will end Sunday July 17 at 10:00 pm (CST).

You may use the sketch, or the tWiSt, or a combination of the two.
EVERYONE who enters wins a $1 voucher code to the store. These vouchers may be used together. They expire one month from date issued.  We look forward to seeing what you create!

Our wonderful sponsors this week are -

My card this week features the lovely image, Girl Holding Bear from Digital Paper Craft -

She has such a wonderful vintage look and I decided to play that up with a card that is a bit fussier than I usually create.  I have to say I enjoyed layering up the papers and the embellies for this creation...good to try something different, right?

Anyway, I do hope you've popped over here from the CRAFT Challenge blog.  If you have, you have already seen the wonderful prizes up for grabs and you've been wowed by my teamies who always make such gorgeous creations!  If not, I do hope you'll stop over and consider joining our challenge this week.

I hope your week has been full of sunshine and happiness!

Brenda

Kraft-Tastic!

From the Heart Stamps sketch #157 post is here.

Welcome to Little Red Wagon challenge #347.  Crafty Jan wants us to create some Kraft-Tastic projects this week at Little Red Wagon.  Translated, that means she wants to see us using kraft cardstock.

I am getting the bug to learn to use my pencils and I love they way pencils look on kraft so this seemed the perfect opportunity to give it a whirl.  This funny chicken is Hey Chickie, from Bugaboo Stamps.  The pencils are a work in progress, that's one reason I kept this pretty simple.  I have to say, I did have fun using them.

At this point, if you haven't come here from the Little Red Wagon, you need to head over.   There you will see the fabulously krafty designs the Girlfriends have come up with and you can link up your own krafty masterpiece!

Thanks for stopping by.

i {heart} sketches with a tWist

Hello!  I so glad you've popped in to see some midweek inspiration...or at least I hope it inspires you to come join our challenge this week.  I wanted to use the sketch -

And the tWist this week is to "make it sparkle"!  Remember you can choose to use the sketch or the tWist, or you can do both, but you have to use a FtHS image.

This week I did both and used the gorgeous new set Faith designed for Imke - Beach Medley.

I took a little liberty with the sketch and turned it on it's side and then went wonky instead of symmetrical.  I also added a stamped sentiment.  If you look a the waves, you will see a bit of sparkly sea foam in the form of Stickles (love that stuff).  The image is colored with Copic markers.

You still have plenty of time to join us.  Remember...everyone who enters wins a $1 voucher code to the store. These vouchers may be used together. They expire one month from date issued.

I hope your week is going well!

Aloha,
Brenda

Wherever You Go...

I have another card to show you today featuring Space Cadet from Whimsie Doodles -

You'll find these guys along with some of their friends about half way down the page.  I think they are so cute!  I created another watercolor background so they could do a space walk.  The "stars" are made from both acrylic paint flicks and Stampendous thick white embossing enamel and the cadets and spaceship are colored with Copic markers.  I had fun creating this background but this cute spacy Background Borders would be so cute for them too.  The sentiment is from The Cat's Pajamas.

Thanks for popping in.

Brenda

Here is my card, using several of my favorite  dies  and one of my favorite stamps, The Stuffie "Gang".  I guess if I absolutely had to choose a favorite die, right now I would say it is my stitched or pierced circle dies.  I can hardly make a card without them.  They are so versatile and help ground the images I use -

Whimsie Doodles June Challenge

Welcome to the Whimsie Doodles June Challenge!  This month our theme is -

Life's a Beach!

We want to see your creations that are beachy or ocean related.  We would love to see you use your Whimsie Doodles images but you are free to use any image of your choice.  Remember, the winner gets to chose 5 Whimsie Doodle images.

I really enjoyed coloring up this cutie and creating the sandy ocean bottom she's playing on.  The background is watercolor (distress reindeers) with some Stickles bubbles.  The other coloring is Copic markers with some Stickle for extra bling on the sweet little mermaid.  IRL it's nice and sparkly.

For more details and a pick at the Diva's creations, jump on over to the the Whimsie Doodles blog.  I sure hope you have time to play along with us!

LRW - Off We Go!

HI!  Welcome to the newest Little Red Wagon Challenge.  Heather is our challenge leader this week and her challenge theme is "Off We Go".  She wants to see our travel/vacation related creations.

I got out some of my goodies from The Cat's Pajamas to create this fun card -

I have to admit it's kinda boring on the front, but, the party is on the inside -

I used The Cat's Pajamas Travelin' Man stamp set and the following CutUps; Stitched Clouds, Basic PopUp, Wavy Stitched Border.  The paper is from the Crate Paper stack Hey You!  This is one Bunny going on a Summer vacation!  Not sure where he's going, but he's on his way!

I hope you'll be on the way to the Little Red Wagon blog to check out what the other Girlfriends have created and to linkup and play along with us.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope your week is going well!

TCP 316

It's week two for the current TCP Tuesday Challenge at The Cat's Pajamas.  It's Summertime now, so we want you to show us what Summer means to you.

Here's my card using StokedStitched Fly CutUps and County Fair CutUps -

My current obsession with watercolor continues.  I used distress reinkers to create this watery wave for the Bunny.  I added just a little embossing powder to help indicate the wave and paper pieced his surf shorts.  Bunny is colored with Copic markers.

You still have plenty of time to enter our challenge.  I hope you'll play along.  For all of the details and to see the talented Kitty Cat  Pack creations head to  The Cat's Pajama blog.

From the Heart Stamps - Sketch 156

Happy Monday everyone...wow, Monday again, so soon!  First off I want to thank everyone for hopping along with our From the Heart Stamps June blog hop.  Good luck to everyone who left comments.  What did you think of the new images?  I absolutely loved every single one of them!  My wish list is overflowing!

For the real business at hand, here is sketch #156.  Remember you have three choices, you can use the sketch (with a little creative license), you can use the tWist which is to make a gratitude card or you can combine the two.  For all the challenge information check here.

Here's my card using the stamp of the month for June, Ice Cream Lineup -

For this card I isolated one of the yummy ice cream cup and enlarged it.  I was colored with Copic markers with a bit of Stickles added.  The sentiment is from one of the new sets, Aloha Girl.

I am looking forward to seeing your new creations.  You have until June 19 at 10:00 pm (CST) to link up here.

Getting a Little Sharky

Good morning everyone!  Just wanted to share another fun image from the Whimsie Doodles Store.  This guy is called Reilly's Shark and he can be found on the Summer Fun Digi's page.  Here's my card -

The background was created by wetting the watercolor paper with water in a random pattern.  The I added the light blue, let it dry and then added the darker blue.  I really feel watercolor is a good exercise in letting go.  I love playing with medium!

Before I close, I want to remind you, there's still time to play in the May challenge, graduation/teacher appreciation.  Hope you'll have time to join in.

I would like to share with the following challenges:

When I saw this wonderful image, Grumpy Monkey from Dr. Digi, I thought of King Kong right away.  Let me know what you think -

We sure hope you'll join us this week at the CRAFT Challenge blog!  We are looking forward to see what movie inspires you.

Thanks for taking a look!

Midweek Inspiration From FtHS

Good morning...at least after I have my first cup of coffee it is!  This is a reminder post, there's still plenty of time to join at From the Heart Stamps i {heart} sketches with a tWist.  Here's the sketch, with the tWist being to create a circle card -

...and here's my card featuring one of Faith's freebies, World's Best Coffee -

For this card I colored up the image with Copics, cut it out with a wonky stitched oval die and distressed the edges a bit with, of course, ground expresso distress ink.

I hope you all have been enjoying our June blog hop.  I haven't been able to do it right yet (meaning with a great cup of coffee), but  had to go through it quickly.  I was dying to see all the sweet sets Faith did.  Isn't she amazing?  If you haven't done the hop, be sure to for many chances to win the amazing new sets!

As for sketch 155, you can find all the details here and you can link up here.  I'm hoping to see some of the new images on your creations, I can't wait!

This is perfect challenge for me.  I love tag dies and have more than I want to admit.  Funny thing is, I chose to use a tiny little tag and to top it off, I fussy cut it...oh well.  Here's my creation using the darling Tiddly Inks image, Little Hopper - Toadally Amazing:

I can't wait to see how you use tags on your creations.  I also can't wait to see what the Girlfriends have made to inspire us.  Here's the link to the blog Little Red Wagon.  Hope you'll come join us!
