Well, here's another Tuesday rolling around and it's one of my favorite Tuesday's of the month cuz we have a new challenge at The Cat's Pajamas.  As you can see we are challenging you to use dies on your creations.

I LOVE CutUps (well honestly I love everything TCP)!  So this challenge was right up my alley -

For this card I used one of my favorite sets, the sentiment is from The Tweetest Things.  I used several CutUps; Home Tweet Home. Stitched Fly, and Stitched Clouds.

Here are the things you need to know about our challenge -

-The challenge changes every other Tuesday.  Details will be posted on The Cat's Pajamas blog and our Facebook page.

-To play along, just upload your design to The Cat's Pajamas blog page using the InLinkz button by the Monday, 11:55 EST before the next challenge.

-Would love to see your TCP stamps and CutUps, but they are not required.

-The winner will be announced on Tuesday, when the new challenge is announced.   They will receive a Cat Cash Voucher for $10 or $15 if a TCP product is used.

This week I decided to work with the sketch only.  I used the darling Bunny and Butterflies image to make an Easter card for family.  This cutie is one of the newer images in the store and was so nice to color up.

AYLI #76

This fortnight's challenge theme is to choose your favorite line on the bingo board below.  We would love for you to show us your creation based on your favorite line and explain to us why it's your favorite.

This week our sponsor is:

My favorite line is fussy & fancy, lace and pearls.  I love layers which translates to fussy for me and with this image, how could you not want to fancy it up?  I felt the doily would give a wonderful lacy look for this card and pearls are my favorite type of bling (along with sequins, rhinestones, glitter...).  Here's my card -

I used this sassy little image, Opal the Optimist by Stamping bella.  You can see, she's just made for fussy and fancy with the layers and the bling paper that was used.

Now you need to head back to the AYLI blog to link up your creation.  While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs and the wonderful creations from the team!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week has been good!  I know I'm looking forward to the long weekend and the celebration of Resurrection Sunday.

Our Sponsors this week are -

and

I was so fortunate to receive an image from Oddball Art to color.  Here's what I came up with -

I loved coloring this little girl.  I was a little intimidated by the hair, but just decided to let go and let it curl.  I often leave the sentiments for my cards for later but I definitely see this little girl as a missing you or get well card.  She just looks so very sad:(.

OK, now you have your assignment.  Get in their and use that bling on your creation and link them to our CRAFT Challenge blog.  Looking forward to seeing your creations.

Aloha,
Brenda

Happy Easter/Spring at LRW

OK, for those of you who happened on to my blog earlier, you got a sneak peek for next week.  I'm going to blame it on Blogger, cause whenever I have a blooggy problem that's what I do...(and I have been having picture uploading problems but, this was totally me being too scattered!).

So, Donna is our challenge hostess today.  She is asking us to get out our goodies and make an Easter or Spring card.

Luckily, I have been trying to work ahead and used Stamping bella's Tiny Townie Needs a Hug.  I watercolored her up using distress inks, plopped her on some Doodlebug papers and there ya go.

Now, for the real scoop on the challenge today, head over to the Little Red Wagon.  I'm sure the Girlfriends will have plenty to impress.

Thanks for stopping in.  I'm praying everyone (including me) has a stress free day!

Aloha,
Brenda

FtHS #144

So glad you are here to take a peek at From the Heart Stamps i{heart} sketches with a tWist #144.  Amazing how fast these Mondays roll around.  This week we have a great sketch designed by Faith.  I took some liberties with this sketch, but I think you will see it if you turn it upside down.  I was also able to incorporate the masculine card tWist.

Here's my card using the super fun, Super Birdbrain.

As you can see, there are some great sentiments for Father's Day in this set.  My plan is to print one of these for the inside and I can cross Father's Day card off my list.

Last, but not least, I hope you will join us this week in the challenge.  We love looking at your creations!  For all the scoop on the challenge, check here.  Remember, if you participate, you can help build your stash!

Calling All Critters!

Happy Friday everyone!  Another week coming to a close, another weekend full of possibilities.  I got a chance to do a just for fun Easter card using Whimsie Doodles' Bunny and Balloon image.  I love this cute little guy!

My fascination with watercolor continues.  I love the sometimes uncontrolled, surprising outcomes.  It is a lesson in learning to let go and let it just happen.  I also love the wonderful soft colors that usually result.  The cute bunny was colored with topic markers.  Some Pearl Ex pigment was also splattered on the background for a little glimmer.

I am sharing this in the following challenges -
Whimsie Doodles - March Challenge
Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge - Cute and Cuddly

Thanks for stopping by.  I'm hoping you have a weekend full of blessings.

Brenda

Anything but a Square or a Rectangle

Wow, another Wednesday, those pages are flying off the calendar!  I am hosting at Little Red Wagon this week.  I have been so enamored by the Go Kreate Frames I have seen being used by all my UK teamies and friends.  I love the beautiful card base they make.  So, my challenge to use is to make a card any shape but a square or a rectangle.  You can do a circle, an octagon, or some kind of fancy frame shape.

Here's my card:

I used one of the shapes on my Brother Scan and Cut to make this card.  It was fun to do a different shape.  I inked up a brand new Stampingbella Stamp, Row of Bunny Wobbles, which I LOVE!

I hope you'll join us this week at Little Red Wagon.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Forget About the Cake

Welcome to The Cat's Pajamas Tuesday Challenge #310, Bunnies.  I'm telling you, I had such a hard time deciding which Bunny to use.  I love all the TCP Bunnies!  I finally decided to be practical and use Bunny in Forget About the Cake since I have a ton of birthdays in next 2 months.

I'm still loving watercolor effects and created a light wash with some inexpensive "school" watercolors.  I added a sentiment from Sassy Birthday, Doodlebug paper and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

As for details on the challenge; you have two weeks to enter your creations.  Please link your projects here no later than Monday (3/28) at 11:55pm EST for a chance to win some Cat Cash. You can use any images you wish, but we sure would love to see what you can create with The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies!

If it's more inspiration you are after check, out the makes from the Cat Pack.  Their links are on the sidebar or you can head over to The Cat's Pajamas blog.  Can't wait to see your bunnies!

It's time for a new i {heart} sketches challenge at From the Heart Stamps.  I love this sketch by Faith.  This tWist helps me with my continuing quest to use my SFS (stuff from stash), namely the paper clip (still have a can full), the ribbon (still have millions...OK that's exaggerating maybe only hundreds of yards), washi tape and bling (still have a small drawer full).

Here's my card using Hamlet Pigwit Think Spring:

With St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, I thought Hamlet would be perfect.  If Spring or Easter is more what you're looking for, Hamlet is also featured with flowers in this set.  I'll wait and add the sentiment when I have a use for this card.

If you haven't been to the From the Heart Stamps Store lately, you need to pop in here.  Faith has several FAB new designs available.

For all the challenge details check out the blog here.  You'll also want to check out the inspiration the design team has for you this week, I'm sure you'll like what you see.  I hope you have time to play along this week, can't wait to see your creations!

A Little More Whimsie Doodles

I have had a busy week at work, but managed to finish a couple more cards using these sweet Whimsie Doodle Digi Stamps.  You can find both of these digis in their shop and you can't beat the price!

I have been thinking about my design style lately and recognize, there really is no style.  I love so many of the techniques and styles you can use when making cards, I find my joy in just playing around and trying different things.  The one thing I have become sure of is that I love cute!  Whimsie Doodles images are just the type images I love to create with.  I would definitely love the chance to work with these darling images on a regular basis!

Whimsey Doodle Love

I learned Whimsie Doodles is extending the deadline for their design team call.  Yippee!  I absolutely adore their images and would love having a reason to color up and design with them.

I am going with the old adage, nothing ventured, nothing gained.  My card today was made with one of the darling freebies offered.  She is called 'Mailed my Heart'.  Isn't she darling, thanks so much to Whimsie Doodles for their kind sharing.

Here's my card -

I used papers from The Stamps of Life Love Story Collection, they seemed to go so well with this sweet image.  I colored the envie with clear Wink of Stella.  You can't tell in the picture, but it gives a nice subtle shine.  I loved coloring her with Copic Markers.  She is such a sweet image and a joy to color.

If you are interested in throwing your hat in the ring, here is the link.  I certainly appreciate the opportunity and consideration and would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to design for Whimsie Doodles.

Thanks so much for stopping in.  It's almost Friday!

Aloha,
Brenda

AYLI #75

This fortnight's challenge theme is Embossing.  It doesn't matter what kind of embossing.  You can use folders, paste, heat embossing...we just want to see your creation and want you to tell us why it's your favorite.

This week our sponsor is:

My favorite kind of embossing is heat embossing.  The way it turns from a little speck into something so wonderful and shiney is just magical to me.  Having said that, I just love all forms of embossing, it adds such fab texture.  Here's my card using heat embossing and gold embossing paste.

Now you need to head back to the AYLI blog to link up your creation.  While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs!  The design team has wonderful examples of all types of embossing so enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week is going well!

Spring has Sprung

Reminder, it's Week 2 for TCP Tuesday #309.   Don't worry you have plenty of time to link up your creations here.  We want to see your Springy creations.  Plenty of TCP stamps inspired me for this one, so I had to play along again.

Here's my card -

I am amazed this shaker card turned out.  It was just a series of one blunder after another.  I think it will do though.  I used one of my favorite stamp sets, Up, Up and Away.  I also used a bunch of CutUps again - Stitched Cloud Dies, He Said, She Said (grass),  County Fair (sun), Under My Hat (flowers), and Toppers Stitch Line (created the stitched frame).  Despite my challenges, this card was a bunch of fun to make.

Come on and join us for TCP Tuesday 309, you have until 3/14 to link up!  Can't wait to see what you create.  For all the details and links to the Cat Pack creations, head on over to the TCP blog.

I so appreciate your visits and your comments!

Aloha,
Brenda
