TCP Tuesday #309

Thanks to everyone for playing along with our last challenge!  We all love our animals and we loved seeing your creations!  This week we are wanting to see your Springy creations.  This is the time year when Winter has about worn out it welcome.  We want to see colors, flowers, sunshine, what ever makes you think of Spring.

Here's what I came up with -

I kinda wish I had gone with a solid color card, but the cute little flowers on this card was what inspired me.  I used a bunch of CutUps to create this little Springy wreath - Grapevine Wreath
Easy Stitched Bow, Nested Hearts (leaves), Under My Hat (flower), and Stamp Trio.  The sentiment is from 'Blow'.

Get out your bright, happy paper and your TCP stamps...there are so many of them that will be perfect for this challenge.  If you don't have any TCP stamps, you can still play along and maybe you'll win some Cat Cash so you can get some TCP of your own!

For more inspiration visit the other Kitty Cats in the Pack, I know they would love a visit.

Thanks for stopping in.  Looking forward to seeing your Springy creations!

Aloha,
Brenda

RELAX!

Wow, Monday rolls around fast these days.  It's time for another i heart sketches with a tWist challenge over at From the Heart Stamps.  This week our sketch was created by Jo and the twist is to make an easel card.

I have been coloring images for the 30 day Color Challenge and had these guys already colored.  I decided they would be perfect to create an easel card with.  Here's my card using Martini Chicks -

These guys make me laugh.  The one guy left sitting even has red eyes, love how you can add even more personality.

For this card I used:
Paper:  Bazzill cardstock and DCWV white core cardstock
Color medium:  Copic Markers
Other Supplies:  Queen & Co. epoxy dots, Quidkutz nested dies, Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper

I hope you will be able to join us this week.  It's up to you to decide if you want to use the tWist alone, the sketch alone or if you want you can combine the two.  Remember tho, you must use a From the Heart Stamp to enter.  Everyone who enters earns $1 credit toward more stamps at FtHS!  Here are all the details.

I also want to remind you of our blog hop on Friday.  Find your way to the FtHS blog to start hopping.  We are Casing this time and of course you will have opportunities to win!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a great week...hope to see ya Friday.

As You Like It - Favorite Occassion

This fortnight's challenge theme is hosted by Kat.  She want us to make a card for our favorite occasion.  We can't want to see your wonderful creation, but don't forget to explain why it is your favorite.  We want the story too!

This week our wonderful sponsor is:

My favorite occasion has to be birthdays, so here is my card -

I love making birthday cards to celebrate my friends and family.  I want them to know just how special they are to me.  March and April are full of birthdays for me, so don't be surprised if you see more birthday cards in the near future!

I had so much fun making this card. Right now watercolor is my obsession. I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out. You definitely kinda have to let go when you are working with watercolor and I am so happy these colors took the path they did.

Please join us this week at AYLI blog to link up your creations. While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs and to see the fab creations the DT has made!

Thanks for stopping by, the weekend is almost here!

Brenda

Furry Friends

These Wednesdays are rolling around much to fast!  Hope your week is going well.  This week we are challenging you to show us your Furry Friends on your creations.

You may remember last week Donna and Janice made cards using the darling Bella from Cheryl's Sassy Stamps.  I was so inspired by them I headed over and picked up this cutie, Bella Bunny Boo, that is currently on sale.

I did pull out some vintage design paper from my little red wagon.  This paper is from Kangaroo and Joey circa 1995 or so.  I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers again.  Definitely fun to use, but I got some practicing to do!

I hope you will get out those furry critter stamps and digis and join me and the other Girlfriends.  You can link up over at Little Red Wagon.  Stop over and check out their blogs listed on the sidebar.

FtH i {heart} sketches with a tWist #140

I it's Monday, that means it's time for a new i {heart} sketches challenge at From the Heart Stamps.  We have another great sketch again this week, courtesy of Faith.  The fun tWist is to make your creation a Shaped Card.  Remember it's up to you.  You can use the sketch alone, the tWist alone or you can combine the two.  Remember though, you must use a From the Heart Stamps image...the biggest problem there is narrowing down which image to use!  Here's the link to the store just chock full of fun images!

Here's my card for this week.  I decided to use the sketch with a few little adjustments:

It's no surprise I'm using a Birdbrain...this time it's Flower Chick.  I switched things up a bit and finally colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush.  I have to tell you, I really like them.  I pulled them out in my attempt to work on the 30 Day Color Challenge.

I really hope to see your creation for our challenge.  Be sure to check out all the details at FtHS Blog.  You have until February 29 to join in the fun.

Have a lovely week!

I have been coloring along with Kathy at The Daily Marker.  So far I'm 14/14 and have trying a few things that are different from my usual Copic Markers.

I decided to try some no line stamping.  I stamped this image with Memento London Fog and colored with my Copics.  I wanted to use one of the Grouchy Grumblings I recently purchased and felt like he was the prefect small image to try this technique.  I used the Mojo Monday sketch inspiration.  Here's my card -

I love these crabby little guys, sometimes they are just what you need to get a smile.

Come play along with us at the Little Red Wagon Challenge, just for the fun of it!

Happy Wednesday!

Show Me The Monkey - TCP Tuesday

Yes, it's time for another TCP Tuesday Challenge!  This week the spotlight is on animals.  You have 2 weeks to create and there are so many darling TCP critters to choose from.  I decided, since last week was Chinese New Year, and this is the year of the monkey, Sock Monkey would be perfect.

For this card I used Distress Ink to make the sky and for a switch, I stitched the balloons.  The tree tops were created using one of the six dies in the Toppers CutUps.  The monkey and sentiment are from the darling Show Me The Monkey set.  I love this guy floating with his balloons tied around his waist!

Here are the details on the challenge:
  1. Every other Tuesday a new challenge will be posted on The Cat's Pajamas blog and our Facebook page.
  2. If you want to play along you just upload your design to The Cat's Pajamas blog page using the InLinkz button by the Monday, 11:55 EST before the next challenge.
  3. You are not required to use a Cat’s Pajamas stamp or die on your project but if you have them we would love to see them.
  4. On the following TCP Tuesday, the winner will be chosen from the previous challenge and will receive a Cat Cash Voucher for $10 or $15 if a TCP product is used.

For more inspiration be sure to visit the Cat Pack, their links are on my sidebar.  I sure hope you'll join us for a chance to win a Kitty Cat Cash Voucher!  Can't wait to see what animal you choose!

Brenda

CRAFT 350

It's time for another CRAFT Challenge!  We would love for you to join us in making your own embellishments this week.  The internet is full of very helpful tutorials is you need a push.

Our fabulous sponsors this week are:

and

This week I used Sassy Studio Designs Princess Feathers Portrait -

I made the feather embellishment a cut file and the Silhouette.  I wrapped some hemp around it and attached a few beads to mimic the feathers in her hair.  I also created some faux leather.  The You Tube video I watched can be viewed here.

The inside of the card has the Ute Prayer that was the inspiration for this card.

As a side note, this image sealed the deal...next month, I'm going to be heading over to Kit and Clowder for some hair and skin classes.  I struggle so with hair and her skin is not what I would have liked.  If you have any thoughts on these classes, I would love to hear them.

Back to business!  I hope you will be joining us this week.  I really enjoyed creating my own embellie and faux leather and definitely am looking forward to seeing what you come up with.  For more information about the prizes and DT makes, join us at the CRAFT Challenge blog.

I so appreciate your visit.  The weekend is almost here!

This week our sponsor is:

My favorite has to be shaped cards.  I love all the Go Create dies that I see my teamies using.  Unfortunately I have not been able to my hands on any...yet.  I love the shapes you can get using the larger Spellbinders dies.  I cut the so the die is hanging over the edge I want to fold as I have done for my card today.  I love being able to have my craft goodies serve double duty.

Sorry I'm a little late with this post...time is absolutely just moving to fast and I've been a little low mojo lately.  I have to admit, when I saw the AYLI girls makes for today, it kinda got me fired up to try some card folds.  Amazing inspiration that you are not going to want to miss...so head on over to the AYLI blog to link up your take a look and link up your creation.  While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs!

Many thanks to our wonderful sponsors this week -

I used Fairy and Bear from Digital Paper Craft to my my card.  I took my inspiration from the fuzzy animals and the chicken wire.  The Tim Holtz Thinnest die cut was perfect to give that chicken wire feel.  I kinda fell in love with this cute image and felt the cute teddy would be a perfect substitute for the bunny and kitty in the picture.

Head on over to the CRAFT Challenge blog for more information about prizes and DT inspiration!  I pray your week is going well!  Thanks so much for stopping by.
